Yeah thanks, I get PUP and filters from Walmart for the three other vehicles at the house (wife's Dodge Durango Hemi, daughter's Jeep Wrangler, my Jeep Wrangler). But for the 2 Mustangs (mine and my sons), Motorcraft full syn from RockAuto. For now I may get it locally at Ford Dealerships at 50%...
Same as local dealer, about $3 more per qt. including shipping. RockAuto is $5.40/qt plus about $1 per qt for shipping when bought in bulk, local dealer $9.32 per quart, Amazon $9.25/qt (and have a whopping 4 in stock right now). There's even eBay sellers that have it around $10 or more per...
Yep, that's what I used to get it for and about $1 more per qt for shipping. Made an order for 2x 12 packs (for 2 Mustangs, 2022 S550 and 2024 S650) today and BOOM F.U. AZ. Now it's in the $10+ per qt range at other retailers. So PUP from Wally World it is. I have half a change (5 qts) left over...
Went to place an order today and got this.

Where I live it’s hard to get consistent ethanol (we’re a flex fuel not an E85 state) and the highest octane gas is 91.
Therefore, I run a mix of 91 top tier and 100, which I am assuming isn’t top tier, in the Mustang. So the detergents are diluted in my s650. I also have older Jeep (2008) and...
You sure it’s E85? Some stations make it look like E85 when it’s actually E51 to E83.
It does suck that the highest readily available is 91, but I’m so thankful 100 at the pump for $10.00 a gal is right down the street.
I wish I could run E30. Most of Arizona is stuck with CAN (Calif, Nevada, Nevada) gas. There’s a station near me with Ethanol Flex Fuel (51-83 E), so it must be tested every time. The only other available options are 87, 89, and 91. There’s a few stations around that sell Sunoco 100 so I hand...
This is why I was looking at the Roush H pipe that already has upgraded clamps for around the same price if not a little cheaper than the Steeda with the upgraded clamp option, which I would have bought as well. I have a Roush axle back (non active) that came with a beefy clamps so I would...
I used to travel pre-covid on an airplane and in hotels 45 plus weeks a year for 30 years, so I get the got no time for these things. Since Covid been working from home with more time for maintenance, but less ability.
Will your son keep an eye on how much it catches? That’s the only downside...
My son was having intermittent lockout issues mostly going into 1st and 2nd in the 2022 GT manual. I drove it, but am about 4" shorter so had to move the seat up. I had zero problems and couldn't replicate the problem. He had to move the seat back to accommodate his stature. He hasn't had a...
Don't even have E85 anywhere near me (except by the can $109 per 5 gallon). Instead (maybe it's an Arizona thing), we have E51 to E83 and per our state it is not legal to call it E85, but Flex Fuel instead.
Here's my thread on that topic if you're interested...
There's a bunch of write ups for superchargers with a stock tune running E30, which is preferred.
I would like to run E30 just stock (without a supercharger or a tune). But for me even E30 is too hard to make or too expensive to buy (Arizona gas options suck). So I'll stick to my hand blended...
In Arizona, "E85" doesn't appear to be. Instead it's between E51 and E83. What I don't understand, the pumps near me that have "Ethanol Flex Fuel" have the E85 yellow tag, but then state that it's "minimum 51%", which is supposed to be an orange tag. Next time I'm near one, I'll grab a screen...
This is why I won’t get a tune on my late 2023 S650 GT, which is a daily:
A) it’s a 6 speed manual, so no concomitant benefit of transmission tuning except for what I can do electronically (rev matching [which I do use], driving mode [sport is my favorite thus far], launch mode [haven’t even...
Nope, not tied to filter pre-fill. If anything additional oil additives seem to treat it. One observation is it goes away with miles only to return back after an oil change. So what could be in the oil then? One theory is oil accumulates suspended carbon from among other processes blow by. Small...
