  1. 1st Oil Change (Completed) - Low Oil (Next Step Advice)

https://www.repairerdrivennews.com/2025/10/02/ford-ceo-puts-focus-on-repair-technician-shortage-economy-impact-during-town-hall/ “Today, this morning, there will be 600,000 empty stalls in our dealerships, no technicians to work in them,” Farley said…
  2. 1st Oil Change (Completed) - Low Oil (Next Step Advice)

No, PCV is on the other passenger side. It’s something inside the engine on the driver side. I’ve heard multiple theories. But this is the classic coyote tick.
  3. 1st Oil Change (Completed) - Low Oil (Next Step Advice)

Coyote “BBQ Igniter” or “typewriter” tick. It’ll go away within a 1000 miles only to come back after your next oil change.
  4. 1st Oil Change (Completed) - Low Oil (Next Step Advice)

Does it sound like this? And goes away when driving only to come back the next time you start it?
  5. SS-R Shelby Super Snake looks great in person.

Well they sold out in a couple days, so... We all got to pick what we want for the cost we can bear. It’s nice to see how far the platform can be taken, which eventually trickles down to the masses. The problem I have with these SS-R’s is that they’re based on the Dark Horse and therefore I...
  6. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

And here’s my cover. If I wanted it painted, I’d have it painted or paint it myself. The point of my post was since I have the strut to strut tower brace, I didn’t want to keep the cover on and lose access to the top of the engine. I was barely able to remove it with the brace. The last thing I...
  7. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

Answered my own question, looks like they come on the Gen 4 Aluminator. Thank you to everyone that helped.
  8. SS-R Shelby Super Snake looks great in person.

Not those they weren’t up for auction, just display. Had models from previous generations too. There was a 2025 Super Snake that sold at auction for SS-R money. Personally for that kind of money, I’d rather have a GT40.
  9. SS-R Shelby Super Snake looks great in person.

It’s hard to tell, but the wheels had a noticeable amount of negative camber. Also, note these are $200k plus and are sold out at least for 2025.
  10. SS-R Shelby Super Snake looks great in person.

Both manual Tremecs. At Barrett Jackson.
  11. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

So still nothing about the Bullitt/Mach 1 covers from the S550?
  12. Whipple Calibration On Hold

Is this why it was on hold? Someone posted this in another forum (not my pic).
  13. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

Just note, it's really hard getting the beauty cover off with the tower-to-tower strut brace in place (I was able to, but the top and bottom most surfaces got a little scuffed). This would then necessitate the removal of the bar for more maintenance scenarios so you don't scuff up the paint on...
  14. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

I was thinking black, like the S550's. Harder to see the rubber grommets and holes too.
  15. Underhood "Ford Performance" Engine Dress Up Kit

I'm really digging the Bullitt/Mach 1 underhood engine dress up kit. I did some comparing between our S550 and S650 and it looks like the S550 kit would/could/may fit. We removed the ugly "beauty" (not to this beholder) covers so now you can see the four mounting studs. Anyone have any...
  16. DIY: First Oil Change w/ Ramps

He's great. I wish he'd do a video on Coyote BBQ/Typewriter Tick. It goes away only to come back after a fresh oil change. Theory out there is that some suspended carbon has a beneficial tribological effect, which we get from blow by. Too much and it's a wear agent. And that the cars from the...
  17. DIY: First Oil Change w/ Ramps

Correct, that’s Dexos-1, Ford spec calls for ILSAC GF-6.
  18. First Oil Change at Dealer - Sloppy Job

Also note that the 0W and 5W are different but related measurements than the -30 and -40. It’s centipoise vs. centistoke.
  19. Catch Can

That’s why I did UPR, the tradeoff being it’s hard to maintain with the strut tower to strut tower brace. I was also looking at SPE Performance, more compact design with the price point in between UPR and Ford Performance...
  20. Catch Can

That’s where the PCV side mounts for J&L. So even though it’s on the driver’s side it’s for the passenger side valve cover. Has very long hose routing. https://www.jlosc.com/j-l-oil-separator-3-0-pcv-side-2024-2025-ford-mustang-gt-5-0/
