  1. Shoe shopping - is Forged worth it?

19x11 square is a common track setup to maximize traction in the turns, and typically a Mustang with that wheel/tire setup has suspension mods as well. It wouldn't be unsafe, but it's overkill for street use.
  2. Shoe shopping - is Forged worth it?

Project 6gr has been popular with the S550 crowd. They make forged and flow formed. I know someone who has their 7 spoke wheels and loves them. https://share.google/EBuXXXTs2jubsFnmM Signature Wheels are at the high end in quality and price. https://share.google/dHbR68EYAEwVSI1Jy
  3. Now here's something you dont see everyday...

I used to occasionally see a white S550 with a bright pink super snake style stripe in my area. The young blonde driver was very pretty. Yes, he should have waited.
  4. Rear wing spoiler

I think black accents look terrific with grabber blue, so I would definitely put a black spoiler on that car. I like the spoiler that comes on the performance pack cars. The night pony package version is black.
  5. E85 Fuel Advantages and Disadvantages

According to those that run E85 in the area where I live, there's only one chain of gas stations (Kroger) with E85 that consistently tests at 85% or close. Another one is usually around 70%. I've never been interested in running E85 because of all the road trips I do and its limited availability.
  6. Why Ford Has So Many Recalls

It's not always possible. My son-in-law used to work with recall programs at Toyota's US headquarters. They would sometimes discover they had received a defective batch of parts from a supplier, but the defects weren't visible at assembly. By the time the issue was known, vehicles had been sold...
  7. I don't get the Dark Horse vs GT

This is how Ford convinces people to pay Corvette money for a Mustang.
  8. I’m keeping my 2025 Mustang GT Stock -

Now you have me curious about what comments could get you so worked up. But I'm glad you didn't risk getting banned. 😂
  9. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

How about a Mustang wagon? :) I've noticed younger enthusiasts seem to love wagons. Options like 4-doors, wagons, and hybrid variants might be key to the longer term survival of the Mustang, but I think it's highly doubtful any of that is coming with the next mid cycle refresh.
  10. I’m keeping my 2025 Mustang GT Stock -

Disagree. Installing parts that are legit upgrades (e.g. a GT with Ford Performance track suspension, Dark Horse handling package wheels & tires, or a Dark Horse differential cooler, etc.) imo would not be stock. Performance package bits on a non performance package car would still be stock...
  11. ‘26 Order Update- Vin in 3 days Build Date Mid November

Wow, that was fast! I ordered 9/15 but received my VIN and build date email on 10/15. Build date is the week of 12/15.
  12. I’m keeping my 2025 Mustang GT Stock -

I'd rather keep my car bone stock than cheap out on ugly mods. You gotta pay to play.
  13. I’m keeping my 2025 Mustang GT Stock -

Nothing wrong with keeping a Mustang stock, but I do enjoy "making it my own" with some mods. I do agree that the horsepower of a GT is sufficient for my needs on the street, so I didn't make any power mods on my non performance pack S550 GT. However, it has suspension mods because I wanted...
  14. Fall Mountain Trip to Smoky Mountains

Oops, forgot to mention a third one. It's called Diamondback. North Carolina highway 226A near Little Switzerland, NC, which is a cool little town to visit.
  15. Fall Mountain Trip to Smoky Mountains

Nice routes! As far as other roads in the area, I recommend the Copperhead Loop (US 276 and NC 215 near Brevard, NC). Also, The Snake (US 421 between Bristol, TN and Mountain City, TN.) They're further away from TotD and Cherohala Skyway but perhaps you could hit them on the way, depending on...
  16. ‘26 Order Update- Vin in 3 days Build Date Mid November

It's surprising you didn't at least get the email confirmation from Ford that your order was received. Makes me wonder if the dealer typo'd your email address or if Ford's message is in the spam folder.
  17. Ordered 2026

When I looked at the order guide I thought it showed the mats came with the 401A package. I could be wrong but that's my recollection.
  18. ‘26 Order Update- Vin in 3 days Build Date Mid November

Ford's scheduled build dates are definitely not etched in stone. They seem to have a very fluid scheduling process. When I ordered my '22 Maverick, the build date changed just once but others had multiple changes.
  19. Back in the saddle again

I remember that car! I inquired about it and they told me the story about the owner winning it in a raffle. Ultimately I decided I wasn't ready to pursue a purchase hundreds of miles away from me. Congratulations!
  20. Where does the 'brand' go from here?

My memory was fuzzy. It wasn't going to be a brand new platform. The Mustang was supposedly going to share the CD6 platform with the Explorer and Aviator.
