  1. Where does the 'brand' go from here?

That's not what I was referring to. Ford never planned for the S650 to be an EV.
  2. Where does the 'brand' go from here?

The early rumors about the S650 were that it was going to be built on a new platform, which would be shared with other vehicles. At some point Ford abandoned that plan in favor of the S650 being more of a "refresh" of the S550. Ford probably intended to use the Mustang "brand" for multiple...
  3. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? 🙋🏻‍♂️

In the S550 you're not in full manual mode until you pull the shifter past "D" into "S" AND use a paddle to upshift or downshift at least one time. So apparently the S650 goes into full manual mode with just one click of the shift lever? Interesting. I'm surprised Ford changed that.
  4. Official Adriatic Blue Metallic Mustang S650 Thread

Did you see an FX package or one in different trim?
  5. Has anyone replaced the 4 piston front brakes with 6 piston?

On the S550 there weren't any 4 piston Brembos. I think they were made by Continental. Stopping power was actually pretty decent but they overheated more quickly. I upgraded my brake lines to steel braided ones. Pics of a base 4 piston GT brake and the Brembo replacement.
  6. Has anyone replaced the 4 piston front brakes with 6 piston?

I did it on my S550. I found take off Brembo calipers from the Shelby Auctions eBay seller. Yes it required larger rotors, I believe 15" compared to 14" for the 4 piston calipers. There are new brake kits from various sellers like this one: https://share.google/9I73hwaXH1x8uwyOc
  7. This is going to be rough but this car is not fast enough.

I don't mind the op sharing his very unique perspective for Mustang ownership. Sure, there probably was some bravado going on (i.e. look how financially successful he was to be able to afford those previous cars), but his subsequent comments seem sufficient enough to support that it wasn't all a...
  8. This is going to be rough but this car is not fast enough.

If you Whipple your Mustang to 800+ horsepower, you can at least have more fun trying to get traction than those awd and/or mid engined cars. :)
  9. Has anyone tried running same size tires/stock staggered rims?

Yeah no big deal to run 305s on 11 inch wheels. It's very common.
  10. New Wheels installed

Nice! Black wheels, spoiler, etc. look so good with race red.
  11. Official Mustang S650 Aftermarket Wheel & Tire Thread

Wow, not many pics posted here by forum members of their cars. What a difference from the 6g site.
  12. GREAT DEALS ON 2026 MUSTANGS @ GRANGER MOTORS- 4% BELOW INVOICE!!

Adriatic blue. I've seen Orange Fury S550s. It's a bit too "yellow" for my taste. I've seen the FX package pics, but I wish I could see an Adriatic Blue car with the night pony package.
  13. Looking for Bonze Wheels to replace the HP wheels

I don't know of any in exactly the same size, but Project 6GR sells 19x11 front and rear wheels that would fit the 305 and 315 tire sizes. I believe Apex has some similar setups. PROJECT 6GR TEN-D SATIN BRONZE FINISH - Project 6GR https://share.google/pVMQcFxJgDWBK3M3I
  14. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

Yeah, originally I was curious about what members thought about a possible MY27 refresh and how it might compare to what happened in 2018. New platforms and hybrids are a little past that. :)
  15. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

It's up to Ford whether they "need" to do anything, but they did add value to the Mustang with the better platform and interior of the S550 vs. the S197.
  16. Tire Size fitment suggestions?

The +35 offset won't work for a 19x11 wheel, but 285 on a 19x10 +35 wheel fits nicely in front.
  17. When is Build and Price available for MY26?

Unfortunately it's typically not available until quite a while after the order banks open. Maybe because Ford and its dealers would rather steer customers toward remaining MY 2025 stock?
  18. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

Nicer AND cheaper is unrealistic and I don't think anyone said that. Some of us think it ought to be one or the other, though. The buying public recognizes when companies add value to their vehicles. The Japanese did it for decades starting in the 70s, and recently it's mostly been Hyundai and...
  19. S650 Mid Cycle Refresh

Understood, but since Ford is asking customers to pay $80,000 for Mustangs maybe they should be a little nicer.
  20. Tire Size fitment suggestions?

The +35 offset won't work for 19x11 in front. The setups I've seen on the Mustang6g forum for wheels of that width are typically+24 offset in order to clear the suspension the inside. And with that offset you'll likely have a little poke on the outside.
