Well yeah, never take the TPS on any car as gospel. But plus or minus 3 psi ? Thats rediculous. That may be the "accepted tolerance" but its certainly not normal. To me, if they are that far off they aren't working right.
I've always found my Mustangs TPS to be within .5 - 1 psi of my guages...
YOLO. Why buy a special (to you) car you care about and cheap out on making it look nicer and last longer? If you think you don't need any of that shit then just put 87 octane in it and use cheap oil too. Also front PPF isn't that expensive.
I personally think PPF and ceramic is a must to...
Well, I'd say it's already redundant. I tried to stear it back on track. But people are more interested in engine safety and debating saving money rather than how much HP is lost, which was the OPs original question.
I suspect its gear ratio.
When I test drove the manual and auto GTs, I found the autos to have better throttle response. Especially the ones with the 3.55 gears. I did not drive a manual with the 3.73 gears (PP only), But I personally think the manuals need to have 3.73 gears to feel the...
I'd venture it's a lot more than 10HP. A previous poster speculated it could be as much as 40HP. We'll never know without some dyno numbers. But for the extra $15 bucks a tank, I'll take the power increase every time.
I'm sentimental about my cars, so everytime I sell or trade one it's a hard choice. But I did learn a lot from that M1 experience. I learned not to buy a track car as a daily driver, and dont modify suspension (or buy a moded car) unless it's done all at once by a legitimate pro shop that will...
For some reason the A10s in the M1s are known to be really glitchy. I suspect the tune was specialized for the M1 and it was just poorly done.
Thankfully, I've had no issues with my S650 A10 (knock on wood). I think Ford revised the tune for the 24 plus cars.
For me there were a few reasons. - Transmission, comfort, tech, and minor mechanical problems.
My M1 was my daily driver. I loved that car and the Tremec was killer. But it was lowered and had the HP wheels and tires. It looked amazing but It was just not a comfortable daily driver after a...
I went from a '23 M1 to a '24 GT as well. Curious what your reasoning was. Mine was mostly because I found the 24 GT to be a much more comfortable daily driver.
Sounds familiar. I had to go to 4 alignment shops before it got done right on my M1 with progressive springs. And they would all use the lowering springs and camber plates as an excuse for why they couldn't do it right. Either it pulled, the camber was off on one side, or the steering wheel was...
