  1. 26GT got boost - not ESS/Whipple/Procharger *Roush 2650 Phase2 810hp*

For sure they have. Worse than whipple does with their tunes. And in fairness to whipple - I know more than a few of them guys over there, their calibration is better than what roush had. Looks like Ford dropped a base cal on both Roush and whipple, and whipple at least turned it up where...
  2. New ProCharger Supercharger S650 Kit (pictures included)

Having the inside track monopoly for 18 months ahead of anyone else helps... Something the rest of the industry is not too happy with Ford over.
  3. 26GT got boost - not ESS/Whipple/Procharger *Roush 2650 Phase2 810hp*

Ok so no actual data yet. After digging into it, its clear that whipple and roush are either working together on the majority of the calibration, or they are getting data sets from Ford to apply to the calibrations. There are a laundry list of identical data between the two calibrations. With...
  4. 26GT got boost - not ESS/Whipple/Procharger *Roush 2650 Phase2 810hp*

I can officially read/write the roush file now. HPT got it defined and they work now. Lots of refinement incoming.
  5. Clutch Protection - Do our GT's have it?

When I tune manual cars, I give both versions of a tune with this on and off and let the owner decide which they like better. And let me tell you disabling it by maxing out the enable energy makes a DRAMATIC difference in clutch feel in daily driving and launching (Im told). I have folks that...
  6. Clutch Protection - Do our GT's have it?

No unfortunately this is a global setting in the tq management side of the trans area. So its not mode specific. We have more control with the 10R80 with tq modulation via shifting characteristic like base/ALT1/ALT2 and that can be mode specific. But not with the manuals.
  7. Clutch Protection - Do our GT's have it?

Yes they do have clutch protection and its measured in joules. [ECM] 1455 - Clutch Protection Enable Energy: Above this energy level, the clutch protection logic will cause a torque reduction.
  8. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

I havent looked at a euro spec GT tunefile yet but as the DH to GT Im sure its very similar just with more tq management applied to the euro GT. Fueling is probably different too, but Im just guessing.
  9. Pulled the Whipple trigger finally.

True. But again I said depends on why you want to run them. And frankly the market for guys willing to spend $2k on cats is microscopic at best. I might be in that market because I cant STAND the smell, but again not for that money. I'll brave the smell or run straight E85 and spend all that...
  10. Pulled the Whipple trigger finally.

Yeah its all about what you want them for. Pass emissions, no or little smell, quiet the car down, johnny do good wanting to save the trees or just make the max power without a check engine light. Lots of reasons. But I can tell you I havent had someone use any cat that held up with real...
  11. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

You're sitting right in the middle of the gap where NA and blower cars live in terms of your use case. You might want to just find a different car honestly. I think unless you are prepared to gut that thing and make it a giant radiator on wheels, then its the wrong car for what you are doing...
  12. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

Yes there are several sets of “adders” for everything you can imagine. Temp, octane, load, air fuel, cylinder pressure, pre ignition, tip in, shift retard. The list goes on and on.
  13. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

Absolutely and you'll see about as much spark as the stock tune will give you. I see about 23.5-24 on 93 and on e30 I see up to about 26. Thats negligible but it keeps the car consistent. Thats about as much as you can hope for from the stock tune. Now tuned, I run anywhere from 27-29 on 93...
  14. Pulled the Whipple trigger finally.

For you I 100% would. Boosted engine at WOT hitting the hard limiter and rattling that rotating assembly that hard, that’s what breaks them. For auto cars you’d hit the soft limiter on a missed paddle shift so you won’t need to worry about this. And yes auto or manual you need to remove the...
  15. Pulled the Whipple trigger finally.

Only need to replace OPG for manual cars with a possibly of missing a shift and banging off the limiter at 8000+ rpm. Auto cars shouldn’t need them. This isn’t a matter of power.
  16. KN Filters for S650? Worth it over stock?

Hahahahahahaha. Catch cans?? You’re joking right?
  17. Expected gain when tuning a stock manual GT?

on 93 30ish and from stock to e85 is about 60ish. Its worth it.
  18. Intake Lids on or off - IAT talk.

Not talking power here just strictly IAT. I have my roush blower installed and the lids still work but fit like garbage now, so I decided to try a commute with them off. Boy did that go wrong. IATs while driving were almost ambient to the degree. Once you stop though, they would shoot up to...
