    What's the cheaper engine going to be? And how much less HP is it going to have? You mention the Supra, which run 12.1 seconds at 117 mph (according to Car and Driver) and makes 420hp at the rear wheels...about the same as the current Mustang GT.

    Yea, we've covered all that. But I'm just saying for people who put 12-15k on a year, they shouldn't be letting their oil go to 10k, even if the computer says to.

    100% sure? It definitely does on other Ford vehicles like the F150 and Maverick/Bronco. either way it was a more general complaint about the ridiculous things the automakers are doing these days.

    Most mechanics that see what these engines look like with those 10mm oil changes will disagree with you just because an oil passes an online oil test doesn't mean it's not causing problems in your engine

    While we're at it let's go back in time to 2002, when the WRX was first released in the USA with 227hp. Those things only dynoed 175hp! Works out to 23% drivetrain loss

    Subaru underrated the power a little bit. It's a well known fact in the WRX community. No big deal. BMW often does that with their performance cars as well. There's no way to get 5% drivetrain loss especially on an AWD vehicle. I wouldn't say ford inflates the HP. Factory rated at 480hp, say...
