i am not a driveshaft expert, but using carbon fiber for a driveshaft sounds like a not fantastic idea. the resin will probably degrade with age and heat cycles, with that being even quicker if you really demand a lot from the car often. aluminum driveshafts are already hollow, so you arent even...
i just went down to the Pavilions for Rock n Roll Car Show, and it turns out there is new management. from what i heard, the De Rito Partners Development, who hosts the show, decided to ditch the old guys running it and put in their place the company Arizona Events Group. talking with the old...
there is this feature built into the vehicle, complete with Mustang-specific animations. unfortunately, you need to enable it in FORScan, press one of the mirror adjustment buttons for it to work, and i dont think it was made for the US mirror sizes because is also tries to adjust the mirror...
someone i know who has an auto US Dark Horse did his own test and found that, in fact, it is electronically limited to 160mph and wont go past that no matter the gear you are in, even when using paddle shifters. looking it up, it seems like the advertised top speed is really 166mph not 168...
this idea also works for any Ford vehicle that has a version of sun visors with mirror lighting but without homelink, and a version with sun visor mirror lighting with homelink. the accessories guy at my work recently retrofitted a 2023 Escape with homelink using this same method
OP added more pictures since the thread was posted. based on the bolted on rear fender flares and holes where a wing would be mounted on the trunk, im guessing this is an old pre-production unit they just never took the camo off. probably those other reasons too
Alan, i overall agree with your main point, but the thing is sometimes it makes more sense to add things after the fact. Wiley's situation is a fantastic example. obviously, some things just dont, like retrofitting MagneRide (which would need shocks, struts, body wiring harness, engine bay...
you probably can. IIRC, the connector for the MyColor door sill plates is always there. you will have to mess with some stuff in FORScan in the BCM and BCMB, just search in the spreadsheet for "ambient"
i've been wondering the same thing, i hate that blank button. it seems like you would need to hack open the little panel there and go from there, because it looks like the only 2 direct buttons on it are the hazards and max defrost
there really is no benefit to changing that value unless your vehicle has somehow swapped engines. i think the reduced low fuel DTE reminder makes it so that the vehicle will tell you sooner than 50 miles to E that fuel is low
this gives me inspiration to do the install myself when i eventually decide to order my supercharger. stage 2 doesnt come with a warranty anyways, so it doesnt hurt
its a real picture. honestly kinda disappointed in how non-magenta it is, i was expecting a more bright and definitive shade, not a mix between Rapid Red and Hot Pepper Red
it looks like Ford was unable to set a time at their planned date due to bad weather, so they opted to shoot some B-roll instead with the hour they had left
