true, but it still might be possible if someone knew what they were looking for. as for the waterproof thing, it probably is IP65 or IP66, but i would definitely not risk possibly exposing the module that controls the engine and transmission to more water than it already is
this is a screenshot from the workshop manual instructions on PCM removal
in the diagrams, you can see the front marker light as well as the cover for that right vent
i really like the new shift tone feature Ford added to 10.1.0, it helps me time my shifts without staring at the tachometer. plus, its a nice little audible cue when im going full throttle and i hit 7000rpm (my shift point i have set) just before the transmission upshifts
was only now able to do a sanity check against another Mustang with the 10.1.0 update. everything is true except the border cross thing. that was something i changed, being "considerate prompts" in the IPC and APIM
my Mach 1 used to have the undertray trap door for the oil filter. i honestly prefer this new undertray, even with the underbody air deflectors i have to remove as well. i dont know why, but i just do
nevermind, i just fixed it. i restored my IPC with FORScan and it worked. i then added back the stuff i liked and it works fine. not sure what happened tbh
be careful and dont overdo it. remember what happened to the S550 Super Snake convertibles, and IIRC they only had 15 more horsepower than what the Stage 1 Whipple/Ford Performance kit gives you. the twist of the chassis from the power due to the lack of the bracing from the solid roof caused...
i got that update today too. it added a shift tone for the performance shift indicator (same tone as the 2018+), changed the brightness adjustment screen to the Job 2 one, and maybe added a feature where going across a border into a country that uses a different speed metric brings up a pop-up...
no, the PCM thing isnt in the PCM itself, it's in one of the sidebar menus. click the wrench icon to go to service procedures and it should be in there
the mirror tilt down does not work properly on US model mirrors, and autofolding mirrors require you to do a total overseas mirror conversion, which is not easy or cheap. as for the shift indicator, you need to enable it in the IPC as well as the APIM
here it is in the APIM
and here in the IPC...
no more going to your local vinyl shop to get an imperfect recreation of the factory stripes, or piecing out the kit and finding part numbers and all. Ford Accessories now has the factory stripe options up for sale, at $460 for the stripes on their own, which is $15 cheaper than getting them...
