  1. My Mustang Unleashed experience

Wish we had something like this for West Coasters. Glacier National Park is awesome in the summer, if you aren't inundated by the crowds. Drove out there from California a few years ago in a rental V8. You might want to consider rentals to avoid the miles, rock chips, and abuse on your own car.
  2. 10 Speed Transmission limit top gear in Drive

I think in non-performance-oriented cars, the paddle shifters will often work that way, as a "gear limiter" rather than manual control of the gear. At least in my old 2017 Camry it worked that way. Perhaps your F-150 does that too. But in Mustangs it holds the specific gear you shift to (unless...
  3. Quite 2024 GT non performance package.

Dunno bout the X-pipe but I loved having a Roush axle-back on my '25 GT, another relatively affordable option if you want more sound. And I owned a '21 Camaro LT1 with the active exhaust option, really miss it. You could make it do long chains of pops/bangs by downshifting >3K RPM, and prolong...
  4. Frame rail/pinch weld rust: overthinking it?

Barely visible hints of rust on the bottom of frame rails/pinch welds--should I even care? Dealers lift these cars (during PDI?) on the frame rails in front of the official lift points. This is what I've deduced from 3 new S650s I purchased, all different dealers. One had a plastic rocker front...
  5. Dark Horse steering wheel (paddle shifters)

Thanks. I also found the official Ford instructions on Page 11 of this PDF: https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/IS_M-3600-M.PDF (will need Torx 15 and Torx 10 bits)
  6. Dark Horse steering wheel (paddle shifters)

The DH steering wheel comes with adaptive cruise buttons, and my base model does not have this feature. Can I use the DH steering wheel anyway, without swapping buttons and just let the adaptive cruise buttons remain non-functional? Or will that cause issues, meaning I have to swap over my...
  7. 🚨The S650 Oil Change is a Nightmare 🚨 💡Here’s How I’d Fix It💡

You can save a little time and complication by completely omitting the plastic fasteners. Just the 7mm bolts alone are enough to hold the undertray securely.
  8. Brand new Ecoboost, few seconds of lifter tick sometimes

Heard it again today. It's rare, maybe once in a week, so hard to show a dealer. Only on low accel from a stop/pause, usually ~5 minutes after a cold start. Never happens on the cold start itself. Also never noticed it when driven for a long time, freeway, etc. Sounds almost like rod knock but...
  9. I might have messed up

Spot weld something onto the bolt, then back it out
  10. Anyone else have these alignment issues?

Yes, normal. One of my S650s had a couple plastic push-pins missing on the bottom from the factory because it didn't line up and they just omitted them.
  11. Clunking noise from the transmission when slowing down!

When I had this issue on my '25 GT and would listen very carefully, I could also get the noise accelerating slowly from a stop. Whenever I hit 2-3mph either slowing down or speeding up (1-->3 or 3-->1) it would make a clunk and you could feel it in the floorboard. It would even sometimes happen...
  12. Clunking noise from the transmission when slowing down!

If you have continuous gear display enabled, I would monitor the gears to see if it's going 3 --> 2 --> 1 in Sport mode, versus 3 --> 1 in Normal mode. I would get the clunk when it downshifted from 3 --> 1.
  13. I gotta say - Carvana rocks.

Selling to Carmax/Carvana is the superior option in many cases. They often pay more than dealers, and you don't have to deal with tirekickers (or worse) coming to your house, knowing where you live, driving your car, taking up your time, etc. Depending on your lifestyle, income, how much you...
  14. Active Exhaust Upgrade

From what I gather, it's not really practical or worth it. A cheap and ghetto-tech way of doing it is to buy 2 take-off OEM active exhaust mufflers (~$300 on eBay), and devise a simple mechanical method to flip the valves open/closed (reach your hand under the muffler to switch it before you...
  15. S650 bodywork repair bill

Damn that sucks man... I don't know how they even repair that--cut out the original RQP and weld in a new one? Honestly if it were me I would want the responsible party's insurance to buy out the car since it's so new and I'd get a new one.
  16. Brand new car: wiper fluid hose was disconnected

This seems to have been a common complaint when I was looking up my own issue. I noticed that on my previous '25 GT as well. It seems the fluid evaporates out of the top of the lines easily so they need to fill up again on next requested spray
  17. Dark Horse- What did you Mod today?

Lookin' aggressive. I much prefer the double vent vs the stock single vent. Stock vent looks like a silly forehead stamp. Did the body shop paint the hood as an individual piece, or did they blend the fenders?
  18. Brand new car: wiper fluid hose was disconnected

Hope this helps someone in the future who might land on this from the Google. Both wiper nozzles wouldn't spray. Pump audible, no visible leak at tank or in engine compartment. Fix: remove hood liner (pop out Christmas tree pins with trim removal tool). Then activate the wiper fluid, observe...
  19. Anchor room instrument cluster protector arrive crushed

I wouldn't want to install that, especially if it came with edges exposed to dirt like that. Seller wants you to try to install because 1) it makes you go away for a while, and 2) there's a chance you won't return to complain further so they don't have to resolve it. Personally I'd ask for a...
  20. Brand new Ecoboost, few seconds of lifter tick sometimes

Seems to have disappeared, fingers crossed. Maybe bad gas, old gas in the lines? Was a leftover '25 sitting 6 months. Noticed it loudest the first time they started it in the dealer delivery bay. Not a true cold start, since they drove it to the delivery bay. Loud metallic slapping, almost like...
