I'll let it sit most of the day and try again later, then maybe try pulling the fuse, and unplugging the battery. Seems to be different than the multimedia screen lag/frozen/blackout issues (various Ford models and both S650 and S550 Mustangs apparently).
Found another Reddit post of my same...
Left screen didn't start up today. Turned car off and on again and still didn't function.
~1K miles, ~1 month old.
Was not in the heat, parked in a garage in temperate Northern California. No issues last time I drove it.
The 2nd time I started the car up today with the black screen, it gave...
By "stumbles pretty badly" do you mean power drops off, then there's a pause before it catches the next gear and you suddenly get going again, with a slight jerk?
I do experience that at times (Ecoboost).
It's unfortunate Ford hasn't figured out these transmissions, as I had the the GM version...
If you locked in a good price, they are likely trying to shake you off, just hope you get annoyed by waiting and pull out of the deal and go elsewhere, whilst they sell your car for higher profit.
Why don't you ask them to show you this supposed "recall", and let them know you did your research...
Got another vLinker and tried again. Same thing. Logs don't give any more info. No other errors of any sort. Totally stock car.
I could paste the whole log, but most of it is useless, just "Read block #1... #2... No changes in block 1, skipped... No changes in block 2, skipped..." until:
(ERR)...
Several months ago I tried pulling that in a '24 Mustang Ecoboost convertible and it didn't seem to do anything. No error messages, nothing, like a placebo as far as I could tell
What was the outcome of this? Does pulling fuse 29 fully disable ESC/AdvanceTrac? I've also noticed this car holds back even with stability control "fully disabled" from within the cabin. I'm surprised more people aren't complaining. I guess most people don't push these cars to their limits (on...
I was quoted $225 for ceramic on just the 2 frameless windows on the doors (not even including the small triangular rear windows). Sacramento. California prices I guess...
Didn't save logs but I'll go try that. On the cheapest generic ELM327 adapter the progress bar would only get to 79% and it did give some more text after the "procedure interrupted". On the vLinker and OBDLink (the 2 officially recommended by Forscan) there was not additional text.
No DTCs and...
Latest version of Forscan (2.3.62)
Tried 3 different adapters (OBDLink EX, vLinker FS, cheap ELM327 generic)
All Windows drivers/settings good
All FORscan settings good (license installed, adapter settings checked, etc.)
I just can't successfully write changes. Attempted BCM 726-57-01...
Getting "Service procedure has been interrupted" error when trying to write a change. Trying to edit 726-57-01 on BodyCM (cigarette plug timeout after car off).
I'm using the vLinker cable from the FORScan website. Same error with a cheap Amazon adapter too.
Should I be using AS BUILT or not...
Hey all, my rearview mirror housing does not have the 5-pin adapter all the tutorials show. It's a base Ecoboost (also no USB plug behind the mirror). However, it DOES have rain-sensing wipers (all 2024 Mustangs) so it can be tapped, I just don't know which connector or where? How can I go about...
Mine doesn't have that 5-pin connector all the tutorials show. Base Ecoboost is most likely why.
But ALL 2024 Mustangs have rain-sensing wipers, so I should have the same power going to a rain sensor amongst all these wires. The question is, where do I insert the tap pins into?
^Interesting find.
To OP's point, I do think what he's describing is the nature of a heavy V8 that needs to be revved out for maximum attack vs a lighter turbo/torquey-at-low-RPM car.
I felt the same way in my 2021 Camaro LT1 (V8) vs my 2017 Camry (4cyl). To my surprise, the Camry felt "more...
I've "thoroughly driven" 4 different 2024 Mustang Ecoboosts (without High Performance Package) and found them very hamstrung by stability control. I've tried every permutation of drive modes with/without holding down the ESC button until it shows AdvanceTrac off (Track mode allows more slip...
