Thanks for this write-up. Any base model owners accomplished similar? I've seen many of these tutorials, but none of them apply to base model Mustangs since we don't have a 5-pin adapter. Only a 3-pin adapter going to the rain sensor.

They all do this I believe. Noticed this on both a '24 Eco and '25 GT. Tends to happen when the car is warm-started, shut off 1-30min ago. Never does this when cold started. I'm curious what's causing it. Seems troubling, since that mechanical shock can't be good for drivetrain components.

They should do a firmware update where it's OFF by default, then you push the button if you want to turn it on (like if you're pulling up to a huge intersection that has a 2-minute wait, or pausing on your favorite twisty road to leave some space from the car in front)

Wheel gap does look high, might be from unloading the suspension to change wheels. After some more driving it'll probably settle down

Re-checked now 2 months/2600 miles since oil change, zero signs of leak or drip. So the original OEM oil filter must have been slightly loose from the factory. Can't believe that can even happen, I thought they'd be perfectly robo-torqued.

Cycled through 4-5 new cars the last couple years and noticed when a car is still within a couple years old, trade-in value hovers around the same level. So it doesn't make sense to trade within 1-2yr, if one can resist the urge (I apparently cannot).
