What I hope happens:
Coupe/sedan
V8
RWD/optional AWD
Looks as nice if not better than the 16-18 model
Good visibility all around
Notably cheaper than the GT/Premium
What I imagine will most likely happen:
Crossover/sedan
V6/I4/EV
AWD/FWD/RWD
Fingers crossed it's a real thing and not just an...
So...about the M2 and M3...how about the non-performance 2- and 3-series and its contemporaries in the Audi A3/new A5 and Mercedes Benz CLA/C-Class?
If I had to go "basic" Euro sedan or liftback instead of a GT, what would you guys recommend? 😅
This has always been the case with the S650 GT. Premium only.
S550 if I remember right let you have it on base GTs and EcoBoosts as well.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Thanks for the tip, I'll consider doing that. And now I need to decide if the Navy Pier interior is worth it over Space Grey. 😝 (Kinda serious, kinda not. I'm curious which would be easier to maintain and keep clean-looking for the long haul.)
Also, I screencapped my ideal GT/CS build between...
Hmm...have any of you ever had to "settle" for a Mustang different from what you originally wanted to get? Because as much as I love how the California Special looks in white outside and dark blue inside, I'm starting to reconsider if it's worth the 2K+ they're now asking for it.
Whatever...
Huh, never would've guessed. Cool. A shame the E92 doesn't get as much love, but I'll admit I pretty much like that gen just because I've come to love the sound of V8s in general.
Just curious, as a quick off tangent, was there a generation of M3 that was universally loved by people? When I was younger I thought it was the E36 and possibly E46 gens, but now I'm thinking it's the E30...am I mistaken?
If it means the GT gets the Tremec standard [without a substantial price increase], I could see the MT82 on its way out. Otherwise, why? (Besides the sales numbers...)
If the Mustang is indeed now targeting the 911s of the world, could the "new stablemate" coming supposedly in 2025 be a new pony car entry (a traditional coupe, lift back, fastback, or maybe even a four door hatch/sedan) aimed at newcomer/potential enthusiasts?
For what I want to get (GT, Automatic 400A, California Special, Active Exhaust), it looks like a 2-3K increase in price over last year. Not quite a deal breaker, but it's getting really close...and I can't even imagine how much the '26s will increase in price...
I'm revisiting this thread now that the '25 model year prices are out.
The GT California Special is still on the top of my list of cars I'm considering, with the 10speed, Active Exhaust, and Oxford White as "must have" options. With that in my mind, I have some new/possibly old questions.
1...
Hmm.
Do I order a '24 California Special with the 10-speed auto and Active Exhaust and cross my fingers it stays as a '24 model?
Do I order a '25 CS with the above options and hope XPlan reduces the total cost to a '24 model?
Or do I wait to order a '26 and hope the CS still exists as an...
