I would. It's the only vehicle I'd want more than the regular 2-door Mustang GT. Sadly I can't see it starting for less than the GT/Premium already for sale...please prove me wrong Ford, if you even can...
I'm one of the few who wants it to happen. I've already talked extensively about how I'd like a 4-door sedan/sportback version of the Mustang so I won't repeat myself here. But could they really have not come up with a better model name than the Mach-4? That's about as imaginative as the...
Is this different from trademarking something just to keep rights to a certain thing (i.e. Boss trim), or is this another case of "we might do this or we might not"?
To be honest I'm still trying to figure that out for myself. All those test drives I did last year and I still don't have a definitive answer. All I know is that I'm now deciding between the Mustang GT/Mach-4 (if it gets made) and the Prius/Camry (both AWD), and I'm not in a rush to...
I'm afraid I have no clue what you tried to convey after your first sentence, although I would definitely be down for a true/real comfort-oriented GT spec that isn't Premium-trim priced.
Sounds like an enthusiast's dream and a daily driver's nightmare. That said, a smaller NA V8 intrigues me even if it were to "only" make EcoBoost figures.
A quick update today. I test drove a '25 EcoBoost convertible and GT coupe...
The Eco felt very familiar, right down to the steering weight/engagement, to my '19. The main differences I noticed were the drone (even in quiet mode) and the somewhat different (but still I-4 through and through)...
...so if the 4-door "Mustang" is real, should it be a compact, midsize, or full-size sedan? (I know I'm asking a lot of questions as of late, sorry for that.)
Would substantially improving the build quality make the current price point easier to swallow or just raise the price of the Mustang even higher than it already is?
The RTRboost baffles me. On one hand, I think it has better looks than the S550 EcoBoost Performance Package, even with the wrap on. But on the other, how much performance can it have before eating into GT territory? (I can't imagine it having more than 360HP, let alone 400+). And don't people...
How about a proper coupe variant alongside the fastback? Either a fixed hardtop or a higher/more practical roofline for a 2+2 seater that at the same time is still relatively swoopy for the S650.
Or maybe I'm just creating bloat now. 😕
Does anyone here think Ford should reincorporate "commodity" vehicles into their lineup, but with a lot better build quality and curb/driving appeal? I'm curious to know if that would help or hurt the Mustang's future?
Hot take, I'd love to see the Bullitt as a "Package" option for the GT. 400A/401A for sure, but maybe also 300A/301A as well. And keep the Bullitt badging away from the steering wheel please.
1. Select any Mustang.
2. Ctrl+S to save the Mustang.
Simple as that. 😁
...I wish I had an actual answer. As much as I want a GT or V6/V8 sedan, I can't justify myself buying either one right now.
I know they're not direct competitors anymore, but if the Charger Six-pack (coupe or sedan) starts at $40K, I think Ford might rethink their pricing strategy for the Mustang...maybe.
