You do know engine design and bearing technology has moved on and that S/S systems have been in use for 25+ years with no ill effects. Copy and paste of an article on engine oil starvation isn't evidence of S/S systems failings. So it is exactly how modern engines are designed to work! Also...

If you press 'auto' on day one and set the temperature you never need to touch the settings again. In 6 years in my S550 I NEVER touched the climate controls - it was on 'auto' the whole time.

Stop/start will cease to be relevant when all ICE cars are hybrids I like stop start as it saves fuel and emissions when driving in queues - for which there is good evidence. The Ford systems work well compared to some others.

There are no factory orders - only pre-spec cars. However most combinations of spec and options are available. Still plenty of 2024.5 cars coming through

It was and has been in Europe for years, even with leaded petrol. We had 2 star (90 RON) up to 5 star (101 RON) from the 1960's onwards - prior to that it was a bit vague. After lead was removed we had Premium (95 RON) and Super (97 to 99 RON)

In the US the reverse camera has to be working for legal safety reasons. I didn't think that was the case in the UK??? It is frustrating as I suspect it is all working fine but just awaiting a software update.

In the UK some of our 99 has no Ethanol. It says E5 but that is a maximum and one supplier, Esso, has no Ethanol in its 99 product still in some parts of the UK. Ethanol has a higher octane rating then petrol.

That 'stupid fuel hole' is extremely valuable at preventing misfuelling. It is obviously used across the Ford range and saves drivers a lot of money. Misfuelling is a big problem in Europe.

A torque convertor unlocks with a rapid increase in throttle to maximise torque multiplication and transfer. That is how they work!
