  1. Why's Ford not allowing people to tune the S650 Mustang?

Modern cars are far more reliable so probably for the better. Out of the box performance of modern cars blows old stuff away, even modded. I drove a standard V8 S197 a few days ago - it was 20 years old and felt very old fashioned - in a bad way!
  2. Why's Ford not allowing people to tune the S650 Mustang?

No it isn't. The world has changed since then. There is no question to ask as you already know the answer. They cannot be tuned, they are designed that way. Elderbrock sounds like a soft drink!
  3. Why's Ford not allowing people to tune the S650 Mustang?

There is no question to answer. There is no screw. The car is locked down.
  4. Why's Ford not allowing people to tune the S650 Mustang?

This is exactly how it should work. We now have cybersecurity requirements in Europe I assume the same in the US) for cars. I doubt simply leaking a 'key' will either ever happen or be the solution anyway. The security is baked in to the car and all of the modules.
  5. Front Fender line holes gone

I didn't accuse you of forgetting anything - my reply you quoted above was not to you!
  6. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

In the UK the DH and GT have effectively the same power output
  7. Front Fender line holes gone

You seem to be incapable of accepting there are multiple options available for this 'problem' not just the one you are involved with. I have the evidence of my own car in front of me so I don't need to rely on third party evidence. As to your posting nature - I accept that as an apology
  8. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

I think people have forgotten how NA engines respond compared to turbos and superchargers. Torque comes much higher in the rev range and more progressively than a turbo wallop. I drove an S197 recently - that would keep you awake at night on its crappy 235 rear tyres!
  9. Anyone regrats their DH purchase?

BMW M2 has Sensatec = Vegan leather!
  10. Cracked bumper from one side to the other // Can it be repaired?

Yes this. It would still require removing the bumper to do it properly by strengthening from behind. The time and labour may end up more than a replacement though.
  11. Front Fender line holes gone

Yes. I did exactly this. After this winter and about 3k mile of driving I had a good look inside the holes. The car frame had a few stone chips but no rust and the brace had a few minor chips and slight rust staining of those chips - very minor. I treated with Kurust and then sprayed with...

  13. April 2025 – Mustang Sales & Production: 4,922 Sold / 6,330 Produced

Wow - do you really need to 'win' an argument that much. :giggle: I stand by what I say about gas prices rising since January as was pointed out by another poster. If you can't handle that then pity on you. Don't bother responding as I will not waste any more time on this.
  14. April 2025 – Mustang Sales & Production: 4,922 Sold / 6,330 Produced

The graph is clear - gas prices have fallen over the last week or so, but have risen since January. This is what I said clearly - no need to thank me!
  15. April 2025 – Mustang Sales & Production: 4,922 Sold / 6,330 Produced

The problem with choosing individual points in time is that it doesn't show the whole picture. Yes it has fallen from a year ago but it is also clear that the trend is back up again, especially since January. It is easy enough to pick 4 data points on that graph that are all falling. You have...
  16. Front Fender line holes gone

He seems to be forgetting there is a load of unprotected metal under the car, admittedly the floorpan is undersealed in the UK. Mine went through it's first salty winter with minimal damage and I have treated it for the future and will keep an eye on it. If you don't agree with him you are...
  17. Is there a difference between 600A (non-premium) vs 700A (premium)

You do like to be judgmental don't you!
  18. April 2025 – Mustang Sales & Production: 4,922 Sold / 6,330 Produced

Has it? Sure doesn't look like it to me. Be careful of spin from those who know not of what they speak!
