  1. NEW Shadow Black 2025 GT

Agreed. I like that so much that I have the same combo on my 2011 e90 M3 in Jerez Black! Son just picked up a 2025 GT in Vapor Blue and he's loving it. I've had a chance to put a few miles on it and I must say that it's fun. Congrats on the new wheels, OP!
  2. Disabling Auto Start Stop permanently?

Here's a post where I found the fix for certain Toyotas. Auto Stop/Start - How I disabled it on HighLander 2022 | Toyota Nation Forum On the 2019-2021 RAV4s that have auto S/S there is a simple trick that disables and deletes it---you disconnect the electric wire to the hood latch. The wire...
  3. Watch This Before Replacing The Windshield On A S650 Mustang GT !

Pretty much every car with a monitoring system needs recalibration. I'm not sure what would make the Mustang special in this regard.
  4. Bought the Dark Horse off the showroom floor

My son just bought the same color. I like the color shift, as I still drive an e90 in Jerez Black that has a very cool deep blue color shift. I thought that vapor was a great color, and the only one with a manual within 200 miles of us.
  5. DASH CAM for mustang Gt Premium 2024

Our family has three BlackVue 790s and one BlackVue 970. AMAZING cameras, although app updates sometimes are a pain getting cameras reconnected to the app.
  6. What screen protectors are you using

If the screen is that soft, it's possible that you could buff out scratches with some plastic polish if you already have them. I've used this stuff on plexiglass aquaria (and my titanium shift knob after it fell out of the box onto the garage floor) and it leaves no marring on the screen...
  7. Ventilated vs cooled seats

Driving while wearing pants? It's just crazy enough to work!
  8. Disabling Auto Start Stop permanently?

I didn't have to worry about this with my M3. I has auto S/S, but it defaulted to "off" in NA (Europe got it defaulted to active), but a tune removed the limiter and the auto S/S permanently.
  9. Disabling Auto Start Stop permanently?

Does anyone know how the Mustang system deals with allowing mechanics to keep the engine running when the hood is open? Toyota did it with a clipped wire that attaches to the hood latch. When that's disconnected, the car permanently thinks that the hood is open, without leaving any dashboard...
  10. Mustang GTD window sticker

$10k to buy a carbon fiber roof? I get the theoretical benefits, but I saw some horror stories posted on the e90 M forums from people with the carbon fiber roof after it began to delaminate. I don't think that I'd want that sort of headache, especially not for an addition ten grand. It's sort...
  11. S650 vs RZ34 (Nissan Z)

It's also often far more fun to "drive a slow car fast". My M3 and the New GT will run circles around my AP1 S2000, but it's still far more fun than either of them, especially on a winding road.
  12. How many are regretting

My only regret so far is NOT having bought a 2024. I couldn't get the wife to go ahead with the purchase, and the pricing changed. The 6MT used to be about $8k less expensive. So, we ended up with a 2025, but paid a bit more.
  13. BMW M2, M240i

I've had the cup holders do this, the rubber on all of the window seals and the trunk release...Yeah, it's interesting keeping up with the dry rot in the horrible plastics that BMW uses. Imagine the fact that the throttle body gears are made from that same crap!
  14. BMW M2, M240i

Don't know how the Mustangs will fare (this is our first), but keep in mind that BMW loves to use cheap plastic that degrades at about 5 years. Expect that most trim parts will need to be replaced if you keep the car...and there is a LOT of plastic under the hood where heat will degrade it...
  15. BMW M2, M240i

There's no There's no comparison between an M/ product and the M packages. People often buy those, increase the boost and brag that their car is "better". Ms are all around the handling, and the standard chassis has few parts in common with the M/ products. Still, BMW with a turbo...I...
  16. BMW M2, M240i

I agree. The M M3/4s are also a bit bloated (even my e90 is a bit too fat). The M2 gets back to the more manageable weight of the e46 Ms. It's actually a nice chassis if you can deal with the slightly smaller interior. You just can only make up so much for extra weight, and it will destroy...
  17. BMW M2, M240i

I agree. The newer BMWs, even the Ms, sound like vacuum cleaners. Give me the V8.
  18. BMW M2, M240i

Ms are great performers, but as a current owner of an e90 M3 they can eat you alive in maintenance. While it has been relatively reliable, you WILL have sensor failures, etc. and ANY part from BMW will run at least $1000 even if you do the wrench work yourself. They are overbuilt, and I'd...
  19. How many Mustangs have owned?

First one in our family, so be gentle.
  20. GT vs GT Premium, 400a vs 401a, where's the best value? Comparison and discussion

Sure, but aside from buying the supercharger from Ford, there aren't that many ways to get a bit of extra horsepower out of the car. 10 isn't a lot, but it's something and some people want to "turn it to 11". The price is steep, however, so we only got it because that's how the car came...
