Thanks for the reply. Used the back window motor fuse and a "spare" switched fuse. (Think they were 28 and 36, as neither is actively used in the coupe.)
Just as an update, I had the correct fuses after all. It eventually turned out to be a bad hardwire AND a bad cigarette lighter cable for the unit. Got those replaced, and the dashcam works fine. Turns off immediately (or with parking mode until battery drain-depending upon setting in the...
Turbos rarely give the fuel economy gains that EPA testing suggests. An extreme example is that I tell people I bought my e90 M3 after it won a Top Gear fuel economy challenge against a Prius (I love watching greenies' heads explode) . Amazing how non-economical a small engine run near maximum...
Just to make sure, the Mustang does use micro 2 fuses? I see sources online that specify almost every type, from standard to micro to micro 2, but they appear to be micro 2s?
I may try those,. but those seem to be crucial systems. If the camera ever shorts it could take out the entire gauge cluster. I was trying the non-essential, but that might be the issue, these fuses might not be as advertised.
Which fuses did you use? Having issues with trying to hard wire. Get 12.3v at the barrel of the plug, but the unit won't activate. Suspect that there's an issue with either the fuses I chose or one of the limbs of the circuit (needs constant power and switched...one might be broken).
Seems that now the front cigarette lighter may not be working. Is this likely fuse 32 under the hood? (Turns out that's not the original issue, as the cord doesn't work in other vehicles, but I wonder if a short in the cord might have blown the fuse?)
Trying to hardwire install a BlackVue 970X Plus (box version) into a 2025 Mustang GT.
The issue is that when I try to use the three wire hardwire install kit (red is switched, yellow is constant and black is ground), the until will not power on. I checked with a voltmeter and the barrel...
I haven't crawled around under the seats of my son's Mustang, but I have done work under his old Avalon. That car definitely had ducts to bring airconditioned air into the seats. I suspect that the Mustang does as well.
I would NOT recommend using the heated seat option ,however. We bought...
I've had Pilot Sport 4S on my S2000 and M3. I'm in No Cal, where temp regularly gets into mid 30s. I haven't had any cracking while using them on either car for at least several years.
Sure, but I went with an e90 M3 sedan. Only difference with sunroof delete is approx 22 pounds of weight (coupe has carbon fiber roof). Looks and performs same (have to look to notice extra door handles), but insurance rate is 40% lower. Mustang could be the same. Easier to get passengers in...
Not only that, but the manufacturer would have to prove that the aftermarket part CAUSED the damage in order to avoid covering it under the warranty. They can't just claim that your engine failed because you installed an aftermarket car stereo unless they can prove it is a direct cause.
