  1. GT vs GT Premium, 400a vs 401a, where's the best value? Comparison and discussion

This is often seen other ways. I bought a 2011 M3 with competition pack, but deleted almost everything else including the sunroof to cut back on the weight. In the M forums, this is known as a "unicorn" and is HIGHLY desired. If you want the upgrades, by all means get them, but there will...
  2. GT vs GT Premium, 400a vs 401a, where's the best value? Comparison and discussion

Cooled seats are nice. I don't have them on my M3 (only heated), but my son got them on the GT and my other son has them in his Avalon. Very nice. NEVER use the heated seats if you value your leather-it's murder on them. Either way, if you've never had them, you won't miss them. Leather...
  3. FITCAMX Dashcam now available for the S650!

BlackVue also has a battery kit that you can buy. I don't have those, but have BlackVues in all of our vehicles. There is a bit of an issue when they update their app, as cameras occasionally fight to not allow you to re-install them in the app, but otherwise the cameras are flawless. I can't...

  5. Coyote F150s faster than the mustangs?

Plus the weight balance to make the front end come forward looking for work if one tries to brake for a corner.
  6. S650 vs RZ34 (Nissan Z)

Turbos really aren't great for highway either. Unless you're running at low RPM, the entire reason for the turbo is better mileage with less displacement. Turbos usually lose any MPG benefit when pushed hard. It's mostly a way around government mileage ratings. Turbos look great under the...
  7. S650 vs RZ34 (Nissan Z)

Not around us. Even if you get to invoice, the Z is running GT Premium and up.
  8. Finally decided to take the plunge on a new SS650, but I can't find a base model/manual in our state--when will it be too late to order?

We think alike. We have been looking for the same combination and finally pulled the trigger on Sunday. Premium with active exhaust. Even managed $650 under employee pricing.
  9. All Season Tire Recommendations?

Wife had DW06 on a 325. Definitely better than the Pirellis, but not as go9d as the Pilot Sport line. I hear great things about the 5s, but only avail OEM on new cars ATM.
  10. All Season Tire Recommendations?

I have Pilot Sport 4s on my 2011 M3 year round in No Cal, but run Pilot 4 All season on my S2000. Partially because it's a lift throttle serial killer if the rear breaks loose, and because AP 1 stock tires don't accept 4s. Either are amazing tires if you don't get snow. Great wet traction...
  11. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

As I would suspect. Most of the better companies have figured out correct mapping for these specialty modes. I wouldn't imagine that Ford would even bother having different modes without some sort of difference.
  12. Driving in sport mode--GT with manual---has less off the line in sport mode vs. normal

Here because my son just bought this car, so I can't actually answer whether it's applicable on the GT, but I can say that throttle response on my e90 M3 DEFINITELY improves in the performance modes. I suspect that Ford has figured that out and it's not only a BMW thing. No difference on my...
