No problem, for some things AI is quite good, wheels seem to be easy for it but try editing smaller sections like the grill or strakes and it goes down some weird avenues. Just keep an eye out for it creating extra spokes.
Find a pic of any grabber blue with VF5s on it and tell an AI to recolour the wheels. I know itās not quite as good as the real thing but gives you something in the meantime.
I read about this adaptive learning with the 10R80 today, it seems unhelpful to me - some days I might want to drive calmly, other days more sprited, how does it decide how I want to drive? Might try clearing the adaptive table and switching this off next time Iām using FORScan, hadnāt realised...
I know yours isnāt a daily driver but as you mentioned you wouldnāt notice the difference in normal driving in normal mode, I wanted to ask - as I mostly like to drive in track mode, do the dual rates make this mode uncomfortable for everyday road driving (assuming good condition roads)?
I expect in track mode itās more to do with the car being set to behave in a predictable and expected manner to the inputs youāre giving it.
The other way to quickly drop 3 or more gears is to simply depress the fun pedal all the way to the floor š I much prefer that method.
I tried this out this afternoon in normal and track modes, and for the most part couldnāt get consistent results but I would say the following:
- in normal and track mode a single quick tap on the accelerator dropped one gear fairly consistently.
- in track mode double press did not react...
Thatās a pretty much ideal range of mods, very similar to ninjakās Warhorse.
I havenāt tracked mine yet but I was taking a long sweeping turn at speed yesterday and the amount of body roll was ridiculous tbh, so I would say at a minimum I would need/want Steedaās dual rate springs and a front...
Does anyone know what the colour of the āDark Horseā writing on the plaque is? I want to colour match a couple of bits but I canāt quite work it out, it looks more indigo than grabber blue.
Thanks @krisk for the very informative posts. I agree with junkyard dog that there are likely to be many people on this forum who would benefit immensely from knowing how to change these consumables themselves.
Where I am living an oil change by a respectable shop will cost upwards of $300...
Wow, is all that fluid changing recommended even if only using for occasional track use (e.g. once per month)?
Do you do all of the changes yourself, and if so have you got any preferred instructional videos making it as straightforward as possible? Iāve read plenty of complaints about the...
Question to the guys using hood pins - is there a genuine concern here that the hood could fling open during high speed driving, or is it purely for aesthetics/racecar styling?
To save you having to read that long thread to work out what to adjust, see my post #99 here: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/has-anyone-noticed-hood-lift.167017/post-3507959
