With all due respect, I waste a boatload of money on a lot of things all the time, but $1400 for a splitter extension is likely too much for most Mustang owners. No thanks to the flimsy poly version with splitter rods.
That said, even if I were to spend that kind of money on it, I wouldn't...

Some car dealerships install similar devices that can track or disable the vehicle in the event the buyer fails to make his/her car payments.

Maybe that dealership puts these on until they are sold/delivered in case they get stolen?
I've told that to people a dozen times around here, yet some don't seem to understand that the vast majority of people who buy Mustangs don't have a clue when it comes to the various options and option packages. MOST Mustang buyers will NOT be here or on some other discussion forum complaining...
Ordered the GT PP, no idea how long it would be.
Found a DH on the assembly line @ FRAP a couple weeks later.
The GT optioned out like the DH was $63,035 MSRP. AZ Plan was $57,531.
The DH Premium was $68,020 MSRP.
Bought the DH; paid MSRP.
Mine do wonky things. Sometimes they are blank, sometimes they say the pressure is 9504 psi in all tires. Screws fall out. The world is an imperfect place.
