  1. So at what speed do you finally get traction?

Yes dragstrips are concrete, also they are coated with rubber for traction. But you know that since you mentioned no-prep racing. So you seem knowledgeable, so I’m not going to debate further. Seems the only edge asphalt has is in wet conditions. That said, Dale Jr. doesn’t seem to like...
  2. So at what speed do you finally get traction?

Dale Earnhart Jr. seems to differ with you….lol.
  3. PP Front Splitter

I saw a white Ecoboost in the showroom equipped with the Air Design splitter, leading me to believe it is part of an option package. It is sold at the Ford website, so in some ways I guess you could call it an OEM part? I believe the mild angle of the splitter doesn’t have much downforce and...
  4. What’s your 1 best and 1 worst feature of the S650 Mustang?

To keep it at 1 Best/1 worst? Best: Active Exhaust Worst: No real knobs for Heat and A/C. I don’t mind the digital dash as much as I thought I would, but trying to adjust the fan speed is the worst example of distracted driving. They give me steering wheel buttons AND a knob for stereo...
  5. PP Front Splitter

LMAO…..”Dinner Table”. :cwl: I was calling them bookshelves. Agree with you all….There are a ton of splitter designs, and none seem to feel “right”. IMO the Air Design felt the most proportional…enough to make me forgive the tape as primary mounting. The look and texture is the same as the...
  6. So at what speed do you finally get traction?

The key word I picked up on was CONCRETE. I just watched a video of Dale Jr. talking about how much NASCAR drivers hate racing at Dover because the concrete track is slick and they can’t get traction. Without considering any other factors, try accelerating on asphalt.
  7. PP Front Splitter

I know what you mean…The Air Design splitter was the perfect look I wanted it, but was so disappointed it just taped on. What that told me is that it does nothing if just tape holds it on. I got it anyway, and it is holding fine because I really liked the look. I had 18 years of an...
  8. RTR Spoiler Cheaper on American Muscle?

Accessory prices can vary wildly. I got the same set of rear louvers for almost $100 cheaper at CJPonyparts over AM. Check CJ…they have many parts cheaper than AM. don’t get me wrong, I like AM but a dollar is a dollar.
  9. Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

Good luck! You know sometimes assembly line workers throw some random item in the door just to mess with people. Years ago I had a friend who had a rattle in his door that was driving him crazy. He opened it up and there was an empty soda can inside….lol. But in your case I think it’s a...
  10. PP splitter on a non-PP Premium GT?

Looks good! I got the Air Design front splitter (which was stock for the Ecoboost.) I liked the look of it and got it directly from Ford. I was dissapointed to find out it just tapes on to the existing nub of a splitter that sticks out. I wish it bolted on like a proper part. Oh well, it’s...
  11. Mustang owners, share your must-have accessories! What’s getting tons of use?

I know if the car comes with 20” wheels, it comes with the K brace. I THINK if it has the Performance Package it also comes with the strut tower brace. I might be wrong, but I think it comes down to the options and packages.
  12. S650 Boss 429 Concept

I agree…it’s way way way over the top. But that is the nature of a true concept drawing. I think the artist has nailed the feel of excitement of the car! If I sound artsy…well, I have a degree in commercial art and professional illustration was my entire career…lol.
  13. Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

I don’t know if sound deadening like Dynomat would solve a rattle. Sounds more like a loose screw or clip. Personally I’d try to solve the rattle by isolating the rattling panel or trim …and if it’s loose clips, just secure with small tabs of 3M double sided tape. Just enough to lock in the...
  14. S650 Boss 429 Concept

I think the drawings are amazing and the renderings are extremely professional looking. For those who think they seem too over the top…They look perfectly in line with what a concept rendering would look like, even if exaggerated. Most concept renderings are exaggerated for that wild impact...
  15. Mustang owners, share your must-have accessories! What’s getting tons of use?

I think we misunderstood each other’s post.…lol. My GT has 20” wheels which means it came with the metal cowl (K) brace already installed from the factory. All I had left to install was the tower strut brace.
  16. Mustang owners, share your must-have accessories! What’s getting tons of use?

Yes, apparently because it came with 20” wheels. I don’t have the PP, but it is a Gt Premium. Unfortunately when I ordered the Ford tower brace, it comes with the cowl brace, so I just stored it away.
  17. Mustang owners, share your must-have accessories! What’s getting tons of use?

Sunshade…Amazon has ones just as good as the Ford one but 1/2 the price. Trunk mat. it’s nice because stuff doesn’t slide around on the rubber mat. Subwoofer replacement. Pioneer 10” most popular. Tower strut. Got the Ford Performance. Looks good and car handles better. I love my rear...
  18. Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

All I did was replace the sub with the Pioneer 10” and the center speaker with a nice 8 ohm replacement. Look up my thread that shows what I used. I just posted it a few weeks ago. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/my-adventures-in-upgrading-the-subwoofer-and-center-speaker.169481/ I...
  19. Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

Just upgrading the sub alone let the other speakers sound better. I think the OEM sub put out a bad resonance that suppressed the entire stereo system as a whole. all of a sudden the woofers in the door had more presence and after changing the front speaker it really sounds good to me, and I...
  20. 2026 mustang gt

I had a garage opener clipped on my visor for 20 years in my old cars. Never had the range the integrated ones do. Having an integrated opener on my 2025 is a nice luxury. The illuminated door sills aren’t vital, but sure are cool to look at.
