IMO, the 3M tape does all the heavy holding and the little bead of black silicone is nothing more than a water barrier to keep water from seeping into the 3M tape and weakening it.

The only thing I don’t like is initial pedal response. Like there is a tiny delay and it bogs down in 1st gear which is odd for 3.55 gears. But this guy hates Pedal Commander and recommends another brand.
