  1. What did you do to your S650 Mustang today?? šŸ™‹šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

I just got a Billetworkz custom GT weighted black shifter knob and automatic adapter. Upon receiving it, I thought the weighted knob was way too heavy for automatic use. I also have a regular gloss black engraved ā€œGTā€ knob and brushed silver knob on the way and might wait to install it until...
  2. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

You might be referring to my post. I sort of noodled it through how the different modes affect street driving and thought the question I asked was pointless….so I deleted it. Sorry for any confusion….
  3. Changed out center speaker in 2024 Mustang GT with B&O System

The most popular sub replacement is the Pioneer 10ā€. You won’t notice a huge difference but for some reason the other speakers will sound better. Reasoning is the OEM sub puts out a bad resonance that was stifling the other speaker frequencies. Personally I noticed a brighter sound and more...
  4. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I looked back into the manual to refresh myself on the drive modes. The way I understand it, Track Mode states that it greatly deactivates Traction and Stability control and doesn’t recommend for street. Drag Mode is a little less specific what the modes get set to, but it does make sense that...
  5. Break in period?

When checking oil, I hold a paper towel in one hand, pull the dipstick out very quickly, and lay it horizontally on the paper towel real quick to get an accurate reading before the oil starts to slide down the stick.
  6. My First Near-Horrible Accident – A Moment I’ll Never Forget

I figure since he claimed he floored it and it was still winding past 7500 RPM yet only 3 or 4 seconds in, it then probably broke traction as it grabbed the next gear. My God. Only 15 and street racing at WOT in a 486 hp sports car with his Dad riding shotgun?!? 😲
  7. Break in period?

I wouldn’t worry about burning a litre/qt. of oil during break in. If it does it after 3000 km. Maybe then start to look into it. also everyone seems to agree that the fill sweet spot is the oil hitting in the middle between the 2 dots, rather than at the top.
  8. What brand of motor oil do ya’ll prefer for your Stangs?

For sure the tests aren’t perfect, but I guess my overall point is, these video tests are enough for me to feel good about going with Motorcraft oil and filters. I’m going full synth after 1,000 miles …And really wanted to pick one lane and stay in it. These videos might help anyone else...
  9. Break in period?

From what I read, oil consumption during break-in can happen and isn’t unusual.…but also not guaranteed to happen.
  10. What brand of motor oil do ya’ll prefer for your Stangs?

As I approach my first oil change after break-in, I debated going with my favorite which was always Mobil 1 full synth oil and filter, but I was also debating going with Motorcraft full synth and filter. I did enough research to drive myself crazy, but found these 2 video tests, that found the...
  11. Break in period?

I get it. I got my car at 4 miles. You only get one chance to break in the engine. I’ve tasted the power this car has and the break in stage has been torture…lol. I’m ever so slowly dipping in the throttle as I pass 500 miles. I am still setting 1,000 miles as the benchmark. I loved my 06...
  12. Break in period?

Yeah on the surface, it sounded like a stupid question…lol. But I have read enough manuals to have spotted glaring errors. So I was asking more if the manual writers paid attention. ….ever read a manual detailing a feature you don’t have, or just written so badly it doesn’t make sense? Or...
  13. I kept my 20" wheels/tires

Fun fact….Also remember that for every 10˚ F drop in temps your tires lose 1 lb. of pressure. So if you have them properly inflated during a 90˚ summer, yes they can drop 6 lbs of PSI when you see 30˚ in Winter.
  14. Break in period?

OK cool…so…out of curiosity, if the US manual suggests a 1,000 mile gentle drive break-in, does the European manual translate that to 1,600 km break-in?
  15. Break in period?

For our European friends….1,000 km is only 621 miles. To achieve the recommended 1,000 mile break-in you’d have to drive 1606 km. Just wondering, do you guys factor that in? Also, if we worried about our own bodies as much as the car we’d all live to 100…lol. 😁 I decided at over 500 miles...
  16. Repelling wheel dirt? Will this armorall product work?

I have the 20ā€ wheels. They look tedious to clean, but they are not that bad. I lightly mist them with Meguiars Spray Carnuba wax and wipe off with a microfiber. Each wheel takes about 3 minutes tops. I do it very frequently so cleaning is a light duty. I’m sure there are much better...
  17. Potential Lighted Mustang Pony Grill product

Serious question. Is the RTR grill light decorative or is it a functional fog light?
  18. I hate this hood…. more aggressive aftermarket options?

A few aftermarket hoods to choose from. https://www.cjponyparts.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Hood
  19. Break in period?

4 pages of great reading! I’m just over 500 miles. Consciously not going past 4,500 RPM and making sure RPM’s vary during a drive. Though the other day I pulled my shifter all the way back into Manual mode on my auto and didn’t realize it. I looked on in horror as I hit almost 7000 RPM’s in...
