I don't know what squaring the corner is, but a late turn in, late apex is going to give you the fastest exit speed, and that is not the shortest way through the turn. A traditional apex, in the middle, is the shortest way through the turn. That does not, however, provide the highest exit...
I dunno. I almost thought I messed up when our microwave fried and I took my Mustang to get a new one instead of the SUV.
I finally got it shoehorned onto the front passenger seat. It was for sure not going in the trunk or the back seat, as there was no way to wedge it though either opening.
Thanks for the additional info. I have the handling package wheels/tires, and if I were to carry track tires, they would each be 11" wide with 295 or 305 or 315 tires or 30/68-18 slicks, so I am curious whether I can do the same thing. Sounds like I can one way or another. Obviously with...
No real tram lining.
I wanted cooled seats, so I did not want Recaro's, and this car did not have Recaro's. If anything, I wish the "cooled" seats were colder, like my old Denali.
But the seats are not so great on the track.
And yeah, I have to be careful with the splitter, but I wanted...
I'd be curious what you say now that you have seen what ZXMustang posted - whether the Sport and Track mode throttle mapping are different in your Ecoboost.
but I noticed you drive an Ecoboost premium and not a base model, so we might have to ask him what he meant by base model.
I picked up my Dark Horse with handling package used with about 800 miles on it.
It was the only one within like 500 miles of me at the time, and the price was right, so I grabbed it.
It has been my favorite car I have ever owned so far.
Thank you. This is good information.
Back seat backs laid down or left up like a regular seat?
Any reason to think it would have been different had they been mounted on wheels, other than being a little heavier to maneuver?
Oh, and were these the handling package tires or the standard Dark...
Modern cars are much stiffer than older cars. Some of that stiffness came with a weight penalty. For the comparison with the Camaro, the outgoing 2024 Camaro ZL1 was two tons of fun.
The handling and NVH of modern cars means that they weigh more.
Older cars flexed, a lot.
Drag for straight. The shift is not even close in Sport, and Drag allows you to walk it off the line with a slightly softer pedal initially and ramps up from there (look at the chart above in post #42, lower right is Drag, compare, for example, 40% throttle with Sport, upper right, 40%...
