I have been thinking about how common Dark Horses will be. I started thinking about how I don't see any Mach 1s. I live in a town of 200k, and I have seen 3 GT500s in town, 5 or more GT350s in town, but no (S550) Mach 1s. In fact, I have only seen 1 M1, FJG in another city, none at my local car...
Doubt it, the Trefeo R has historically rated lower than the Cup 2s (found on the Mach 1 HP) in dry lap times. If the DH is faster(I believe it will be), it will be doing it on an arguably less agressive tire, meaning there were suspension or chassis improvements elsewhere.
I know personally, the specialness of a Shelby plus the bespoke flat plane crank 5.2 making over 525 horsepower is really really enticing.
Now, after seeing numbers on a handling pack mach 1, i am sure the Dark Horse will beat a GT350 at some tracks, but that doesnt make the GT350 any less...
He stated there was some bending events that prompted them to use the stronger rods. His interview is in the article i linked in the engines section here Dark Horse Engine Differences
I have linked a few articles where Ed Krenz says that the engines are more similar than ever before, and literally the only difference is the connecting rods (and tuning). Motortrend posted stronger cams in their article, but i have found nothing in Ford releases that state this is true. My...
I have never driven an s550, but the wheel hop on my 2001 cobra irs was insane. Really bad. Is that still an issue? I thought for sure that would have been fixed by now.
Just wanted to state I knew who he was before that, and didn't and don't watch his channel or any channels regularly....but the clickbait got me when it said there was info on pricing. I watched it, don't think it's accurate, now back to not watching his channel, or any others really 😀 I get...
Yeah, no kidding. I think they look really awesome and I could swing it, but I think I'd rather put the 12k toward some track lessons and track time.
I heard this on StangMode's channel the other day as well. That would be cool, but I have a Reeeeally hard time believing this number. Add...
They could jack up the prices like that, but since a fully loaded mach 1 is around 69-70k right now, I want to believe a loaded Dark Horse will be 72-73k with HP, with the base starting closer to 60-62k
I love the dancing headlights and the 3 element treatment. It has been part of the Mustang forever, not part of the current trend. They really nailed the headlights, the rear looks great as well. Sounds ridiculous in a good way, thank you Ford for catering to the enthusiasts!
This is the list I like to use. The Mighty Mach 1 is top of the LL2 class with the handling pack. I am curious to see where the DH ends up on here with what may be lesser tires in the Trofeo vs the Cup 2s.
