@BlackGT2024 ..... did you have any device plugged into your infotainment system at any time? I was plugging my Samsung phone into the C port of the system via a good quality cable to play my music play list. I unplugged the cable and afterwards the screen pixelated. My "geek genius" nephew told...
@Fender5803 ..... on the 2014s there was a coating but a Ford note we found also stated they were one time rated for torque stress. I don't know if the nuts for my 2024s tower studs are coated inside but I was told they are one time torque rated and once the torque is removed (as in loosened)...
@Stang24 ..... great video. Can't tell from your video but did you put some big a$$ fans on your engine and tranny between runs to cool them down? Back in the day that's what we used to do. If that we didn't do that and there are multiple runs we found the car's times got worse and worse due to...
I did on my 2014 stang and A friend did on his too. We both found the wording on a Ford schematic that said "one time use only". I have a bag of them for my 2024 in case the strut has to be removed for engine work (like removing the engine cover). It took two weeks for them to arrive, which i...
@Ewags81 ..... you have received a enormous amount of heart felt solid advice from Mustang brothers on this forum who genuinely care. I lean towards what @Timry2 has said. Unless your dealer has no concern for their reputation and zero pride they will be mortified by this event. Like @Timry2 has...
@ISLAND DARK HORSE ..... you are 100% correct. Discussed this a few years ago with a tech I know at Kal Tire. He said it depended on what you were going to use the car for. It was his opinion that all manufacturers had their own play book on what went into rim specs. He said a big part of the...
@Ewags81 ..... I am well known at the Ford dealership I deal with. I don't gripe about prices, I want the best (full synthetic) etc. for my Mustangs and I tip (reasonably) BUT there is an understanding I "know" vehicles (cars, boats, sleds) and if you mistreat my vehicle I get to claim your...
@9secondko ..... the panel alignment of my 2024 Premium GT Convertible also has excellent panel alignment. I did have two minor paint drips at each end of the trunk which struck the deck below but I sanded then down with a nail file and touched up the four spots so I have no panel complaints -...
@Ewags81. There's still plenty of hope for a 100% full recovery. The front air snorkels just abut the front end and are loosely attached to the grille area of my 2024GT and therefore have some movement - they have to as they are attached to the engine and must be somewhat independent. . Some...
@steveo1960 ..... respectfully do not mess with this. It is so easy to crack the windshield or damage any of the sensors in the glass. Your dealer might not even touch it and just send you with a W/O to a specialty glass shop. Yes, you could try heating the glue and removing it and then...
@Ewags81 ...... correct me here - I don't see any paint damage. Is anything broken? Does this section just snap back on or are nuts/bolts involved. Not trying to minimize or ask a dumba$$ question but I have watched a ton of videos of the Mustang assembly lines and thought I have seen the robot...
@Illini4 ..... you are 100% right that Ford monitors this site - which is smart of them to get knowledgeable insight from the most educated Mustang owners in the 'verse. I'd also bet a load that there have been some discussions at Ford as to what the h3ll someone was thinking when they let those...
@steveo1960 ..... sorry to take a few days to reply. If you didn't drive far a shop vac with a with an extension wand will do. That worked for me. Then clean as much of the remaining grit off with a rag. A friend drove for a couple of months and had to put it on a hoist and remove the bottom...
@n_123 ...... I'm sure you have checked the lug nuts on the wheels. At 100 mph any degree of off-torque can quickly cause a vibration. As well, if you will be going over 100 mph I would have my wheels balance checked - by a professional shop (not the dealer). Afterwards they can be torqued...
@Grabber1 ..... awesome tip. I sanded down the one provided by my dealer (I don't advertise) and painted it flat black. Yours is waaaay better. Maybe Bezos will give you a cut?
Love Mustangs and have had so much fun with them over the years that I decided to get out front of the coming rush and place my order. This should allow me plenty of time to option it ahead of time. I have reached out to Ford for their list of options and Steeda, LMR, Whipple and other suppliers...
@89Trooper and @Neggytive ...... Not sure if an S550 strut brace will fit an S650 but you can certainly get (and I highly recommend you do) a strut brace for your 2024 from any Ford dealer for a decent price and the addition of that WILL tie in to the two braces that are already there from the...
I agree that 60s and 70s break-in procedures are no longer required. Neither should it be babied. IMO "lugging" it causes as much harm. I do vary the engine rpms and speeds at which I brake to a stop from for the first 800-1000 miles. I would not be bouncing off the rev limiter for at least 500...
