@ComvertibleUnderTheSun ...... Don't want to the the buzzkill here but on this forum we try to have each other's backs regarding giving our best opinions for our Mustang brothers/sisters. I would only put a supercharger on it if I stiffened the frame further. LMR and Steeda have, I believe...
I love the look and the concept. Best way to protect the pinch welds and box frame members. I ran it by two local Ford dealers a while back and both said they would not lift my 'stang using 3rd party jack posts. They said their insurance would not be valid and that, yes, they had checked. At...
@SQJ ..... even though I don't winter drive and het my brakes just before I part it for the winter. I know it will ger hit by rain. The dealer agreed to let me apply Corrosion Free spray to it in his detailing bay for 45 minutes before we drove it home (February), in case we hit any roads that...
@Grabber1 ...... you have some awesome pictures of the underside of your Mustang. Any chance of posting a pdf or link so we could save/print a copies for our files?
@Alan Applegate ..... wise advice and a legitimate question. Many have given reasons why they purchase aftermarket add-ons. In my case the dealer had one almost 100% what I wanted at an awesome price right in the show room. A 2024 GT Convertible in vapor blue, 401A "High Package", up graded rims...
@Mspider......I should have been more specific. It is salt that's used but it is a worse format. They spray liquid brine. If you get caught behind a group of the spray the trucks the entire underside of your vehicle - every nook and cranny is soaked. Once the brine dries on the roads/highways it...
@vaporbluestang ..... I am real jealous that you can drive in the winter. Where I live snow and road salt would be brutal on it so I just put my 2024 vapor blue GT 'vert to sleep for the winter. Nexen, Michelin and Bridgestone are used by winter Mustang drivers in my area. Good luck with your hunt.
@Q6543 ..... you said it 100% these cars are absolute MONSTERS! The 2024 Mustang 5.0 is a monster masterpiece. As J of RSA (Racing Solutions America) said on the That Racing Channel video 1000HP mustang beats Lambos video posting....where else can you get an engine to (in his case twin turbo)...
@Adamrx11 ..... The guy who purchased my 2014 bought a x shaped brace that went into the trunk. He said that made a decent difference. I believe Steeda and LMR have kits to stiffen the car with in the trunk braces und underframe kits. I haven't purchased anything so I can't advise from...
@roadpilot ..... agreed that detail shops have specialized pressure washers but that's not the conversation - as many comments on this forum and others clearly indicate that owners are using high pressure washers in commercial car wash bays and home hardware versions - both of which are deadly...
@bimmerborn, I think you have that package covered. The 401A "high" package I got with my 2024 also gave me: leather seats with choice of fronts - I chose space gray, heated and cooled seats, heated steering wheel, premium trim with color accents, Ford co-pilot 360 system, B&O 12 speaker with...
Agreed these temp flares are normal and accounted for. That said, these flares, usually in slow moving traffic on hot days and even worse if the AC is on - is why I use FULL synthetic oil which forms long chain polymers to protect internal engine parts in concert with the increasing temps. BTW...
@Lakersfreak ..... a leaf blower picks up and dirt in the air and fires it, with velocity, at your freshly washed car. To pre-dry I use two big microfiber towels (beach towel size) that I just drape over the car and drag them across with no pressure on them (takes 5 minutes tops) then small...
@Gregs24 ..... the thing is your are IMO spending a lot of effort on saying nothing. The gaps per capita are not an issue on the Mustang. If some are misaligned they are easy to fix as happens with many autos. If a purchaser new to Mustangs wants to ask that question, no worries. IMO you should...
@Gregs24 ..... all cars flex to some degree, as you should know. As any Mustang convertible owner knows theirs will flex to some degree too (something discussed on many Mustang forums if you care to do a bit of reading) - less if you have a strut tower brace(s) and less so if you also have after...
@20ducks ...... no no no. You will introduce road dirt and rain into the underbody of your vehicle. This would be verrrrry bad. Find something else to mess with!
@bimmerborn ..... check the torque of your lug nuts, level of your engine oil and visible fluids. Tire pressures. Order kit from DIYvan.com and cover the fender holes (front wells) with tape until then. Google Tony Unica video on Mustang wheel well holes. Paint drips at trunk edges. Hope all is...
@SmoothButter .... looks the same as my 2024 GT premium convertible. I don't mind a bit of a gap as long as it's basically consistent. If the Mustang is tracked or you if have a convertible, allowing for a bit of body flex is IMO good. Most people don't buy Mustangs do drive to church or try to...
@UAS Guy I replied in a post above. I like @JAM486HP 's suggestion. I added a few. You may well be able to fit that wing onto your vert and still look oem. I'd have one more look at it, possibly after separating the two parts and fitting the wing itself to the oem trunk deck piece that came with...
