  1. Mustang Darkhorse Autobahn Run

@DFB5.0 ...... lived in Germany for four years. My Dad had a chevy that had been worked on. We took it out on Saturdays when Mom and sister were shopping. Saw some crazy sh_t.
  2. ECG-24.2.5.6.2 Update

@SALEEN032 ..... wins the prize. I have had several boats (Big) that also had multiple gateway systems and CANs (control area network) to enable and control communication (coms) of the data stream on the data highways to interact with the ECUs. On my biggest boat I had the Mercruiser Axius...
  3. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Illini4 ..... you are right the rocker panels are plastic/composite. BUT - have you looked under the big felt-like "belly pan" under the engine and under the "felt-like" side pans. These all cover the main FRAME pinch welds and your entire front end K frame and associated frame components. IMO...
  4. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Stang24 ..... just a second guys. Hein had to approach Ford, get the blueprints, scan them into his equipment, FYI the Ford blueprints had to be re-programmed - significantly - by Hein to fit his CAD software and he had to make multiple runs to get it right. These composite "patches" are not...
  5. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@dollybud ..... more that that brother. The velocity with which some of the stones hit my exposed pinch welds and K frame chipped the paint off exposing metal. IMO.... In southern areas sand would pack there and get wet causing a rust poultice. In northern areas the snow and salt could...
  6. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@OzzieRoss .....I have never been given a rational answer. Hein didn't know nor did Tony Unica. There was speculation the holes were left to install the K frame members but that is wrong. The best guess is that it is just an oversight. What was shown in Tony Unica's video is exactly what...
  7. Is car jerking when braking in sport and track mode normal?

@Adamrx11 ..... if you're talking about the deceleration that occurs from engine braking because of the rpm your selected your downshift at then that is completely normal and if you choose a low gear at a higher speed (MPH) you can get a pretty noticeable downshift deceleration. Play with your...
  8. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Grabber1 .....Yes Hein, the owner of DIYvan.com, works with Ford all the time custom fabricating pieces for the work vans etc. Ford sells. When Hein bought a 2024 Mustang GT for himself and saw the holes and Tony Unica's post he got the blueprints from Ford, scanned them into his printer/router...
  9. Patched My Fender Well Holes - DIY Instructions & Photos

@Grabber1 ..... perfectly done. I did exactly the same thing including a second ring of sealant around the perimeter after the original installation dried for a couple of days. That was in March. Still on so well that you would probably rip the fender liner if you tried to remove the pieces...
  10. First Family Road Trip in the S650 GT Convertible

    @MustangMitch69 ..... go topless proudly!
  11. Cowl shake on the s650 GT vert

@Adamrx11.....Tell the truth. Take it to the dealer and tell them that after a 600 mile road trip your car doesn't feel right. I have owned three Mustang convertibles, an MG, an Austin Healey 3000 and a TR6.....this never happened to any of them...... and they were on some pretty brutal roads...
  12. Hurricane Milton

I wish to extend the prayers from we northern Mustang brothers to our southern ones facing yet another terrible test with hurricane Milton approaching. We hope you and your families will be safe. It's frightening to watch from our safe living rooms the lengthy freeway lines leading to safety and...
  13. 2024 California Special - Thoughts?

@razorwired .....I have had three "white" Fords, I think two were Oxford and one from waaay back was Wimbledon or something like that. ATT. 2014 Mustang, Oxford. I do like the Ford Oxford White......and I especially liked that the 2014 Premium Pony package that all white trim - an almost total...
  14. I love this car but the climate controls

@young at heart ..... chewin' your own food, now that's just showing off. From the sounds of it you and @Farmer Fran need to get together, with a couple of beers and take a course on the frickin' screen. You'll both learn to love it. I have to say my 15 year old grand daughter had the spinning...
  15. I love this car but the climate controls

@Hasler74 ..... at first I didn't like the screen. Then the boss (aka the wife) told me to either stop whining or trade it for a 2023. She voluntold me to sit in it for a while and run through all of its options. I had already downloaded much of the 2024 manual. I sat in the car for about an...
  16. Active Valve Exhaust - How Important Is It?

@roket, quite true and if your 2024 GT comes with the "regular" single tips I don't think dual tips will fit the rear bodywork - that will have to be "dremeled-out" to accommodate the wider profile of the dual tips. An extra step but a bit of a pita. I saw one that had been so poorly done that...
  17. Ford Performance Strut Tower Brace-How Long Does it take to Ship?

@BYBO....did you clean the studs before installing the new nuts? The studs have to be very clean and new nuts used or the studs can twist. We torque the nuts to 1/2 spec, wait a half hour then final torque to avoid stretching and shearing the nuts.
  18. H Pipe voids warranty?

@Mikestang24 ..... you can easily pick up the phone and contact Ford Corporate customer service. Tell the agent what you want to do if it is not a "usual" install - if they agree they will give you a case number. They did this for me when I asked if I could install a kill switch without voiding...
  19. I love this car but the climate controls

@steveo1960 ...... ain't that the truth?! BTW .... don't forget using a big screw driver to place around the block, valve covers etc to check valves, tappets, cylinders then against your ear to listen for tell tale sounds of trouble. That and also a decent timing light.
  20. I love this car but the climate controls

@sarahestelle ..... yeah I'm in that club too (I can feel the grim reaper sneaking up behind me) that said, I love the tech in my 2024 GT. Full disclosure I made-up some new words when I was trying to move about 800 songs from my old apple iPod through a computer to my android phone and then...
