@Upacurb ....the trouble is that when you own an RS5 or an M3S or an Audi 8 you own a "slick" sports car that is just that -"slick". I could have bought any of those but I wanted another Mustang because when you are at a red light or better yet leaving one who the h3ll looks at one of those...
@wolf32v ..... you may be right but the GTD has nothing to do with your topic as Ford never intended the GTD for "regular" customers. It is am elite car just like many others on the market and ford could probably sell twice that number.
@S650sunshine ..... imo they might not be able to replicate white "smoke" as that is water vapor and there needs to be a temperature differential to see that e.g. a cold day. If the "smoke" is bluish - again - imo that is neither normal nor good.
@JAM486HP ..... have you got a meter to check the output from your battery tender. So many of my friends have had problems with their vehicles while on tenders that I would look there first. If the continuous voltage checks out I would look for a surge.
@snakeyes ...... agreed. Many if not most claims of significant HP claims with simple bolt-on products are IMO false. Of course, I'm not talking about Whipples for example. When building engines we found once you got a certain amount of HP out of a naturally aspirated engine it was very...
@MegaMan ..... I agree. Put the 2024 Mustang GT on a lift and look under it. The sophistication of the design is, to me, very impressive. There are a lot of very expensive components that were never part of the Mustang architecture even 10 years ago when Mustangs weren't that much less expensive...
@Upacurb ..... people who couldn't travel or go to restaurants during covid spent a lot of cash on boats, cars etc. Personal debt is at an all time high. The Mustang is essentially a two seater toy. When the economy gets rolling again so will Mustangs off the line. EVs have been heavily...
@DevilDog ..... my friend has a Corvette and he has to admit that stock to stock exhaust comparison the Mustang sounds waaay better....and I agree that 480 HP is plenty enough to get into trouble with. That said, I get that the "youts" on on this forum wanting to Whipple their 'stangs.
@FarNorth ..... 100%. I don't need a hearing aid for my right ear as the boss (aka the wife) was even more pissed with the idiot beside me than I was. The last thing I remember before I floored it was her saying - would you please shut that idiot up - rocking his car back and forth and revving...
@msquad ...... out of interest I emailed Rousch Racing to see if they would sell their see through air box covers without the air filters thinking that would cost a lot less than the with the filters. They said no, you have to buy the covers and filters. IMO that is not a savvy marketing move.
@Vickstang ...... there are some bitchin' roads in New York State, Pennsylvania and down the east coats. I ran the road from palm Desert to Flagstaff - some beautiful twists and turns there and a great surface, I rolled the dice a few times going over the center line on some of the turns but...
@msquad .... looks amazing and you saved hundreds. I plan to do this. Any step by step instructions? Did you use a zip tool to cut? What are the clear windows made from?
Ford will never acknowledge this as it is an annoyance (at this point) not affecting longevity. Early filters even Wix would implode when we ran 1600HP racing engines and split the filters dumping their filter media into the oil. This happened too many times to mention. EVERY engine builder of...
