  1. Engine oil temp & A/C

@Stang#6 and @Skye ....this is a completely new concept - explained by you as a fan coming on to cool the system. Because for decades if the engine was over heating you immediately shut it off and if the engine was running too hot you turned on the interior cabin heater as a last resort to drop...
  2. Happy New Year!

I wish all forum members and their families and friends a healthy, safe and prosperous New Year! I really enjoy the camaraderie of this forum. We don't always agree but we all want the best for each other. Here's to a year of safe, fun and exciting driving with the best sports cars anywhere and...
  3. Ford Motor Company Announcement

@DarkMatterGrey ....not so sure about the XL17 - I assume you are referring to the additive that some speculate prevents the BBQ tick that appears on some Mustangs after the first oil change? I have not heard of the BBQ Tick happening when an owner uses FULL synthetic and prefills the oil...
  4. No more Performance pack and Magnaride on Ecoboost 2024. WHY?

Hockey, football and Lacrosse have made manual shifting a "pain" for me so I welcomed the 10R80 with its lightening fast gear shifts (faster than anyone can shift a 6 speed manual) that can also be altered by changing modes. Yes, I too have shifted a paddle (downshift) thinking it was the...
  5. No more Performance pack and Magnaride on Ecoboost 2024. WHY?

@Bikeman315 .... funny you should say that. I was in a big ford dealership looking at a 2024 dark Horse with a friend. They had an 2024 ecoboost for sale also. I overheard a salesman say he thought the days of the ecoboost were numbered.
  6. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

@Gregs24 ..... happened to a family member too but we aren't talking VW blackish smoke here, right? The question was bluish smoke and in my experience that is oil derived. I bet and hope it's a simple fix.
  7. 2024 Mustang Premium Convertible back from body shop need opinions

@jimsgunshop ..... beautiful car. Very disheartening. I have been rear ended twice. Both times stopped at a red light. One repair was oem the other somewhat like yours. I stayed on the insurance company like a rat on cheese and they finally made the shop re-paint my car. None of my business but...
  8. Anyone know what this noise is ? 2 dealers didn’t …

@Petes24Gt ..... my 2024 GT (4500 miles) not driven rough makes exactly the same noise, maybe even a bit louder. Has since purchase and like yours quiets down. I believe it's just a normal cold start engine noise.
  9. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

@S650sunshine ..... it appears bluish to me. That would mean oil getting into where it should not be. That said, it may be no big deal at all. My friend had a new Ford Explorer 400 RT (400 HP twin Turbo) it is about 6 months old with about 1500 miles on it. He noticed some smoke under his hood...
  10. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

This is a no brainer ..... 99% of the time blackish is rich fuel (not normal), whitish is condensation (normal), bluish is oil (not normal). Check it out will be easy to determine.
  11. Clear Euro Tail Lights S650 Installation

No thanks, looks like someone drained the blood out of its a$$ end or like it has cataracts. Most of the mods I like but not even close imo with this one.
  12. 1st 2025 Dark Horse

@High-top5-0 ..... for 2025 I believe Ford does not charge for the auto transmission but does now charge for the Bose 12 speaker/subwoofer up-grade. They have switched some pricing around.
  13. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

@Q6543 ...... I wouldn't term posters asking about noises as complaining. I agree that engines have been and still are noisy - now different operating noises. In the past most were valve train related now there are all sorts of clicks and weird noises many that come from the electronics. That...
  14. 2024 Mustang GT Light Bluish Puff Of Smoke.

@S650sunshine .......bluish smoke is "usually" not good as it usually means oil. Blackish is usually over rich, white is usually condensation and bluish is usually oil derived like a faulty valve stem seal or ring failure. Take it to the dealer and have a work order written to log your visit for...
  15. First oil change dealer put wrong engine oil.

@rijndael ..... nope. First, I'm not talking about "prior mustang coyotes" as that is irrelevant imo. There should be very little drop in viscosity or shear value if a decent oil is changed within the interval for use ie: daily driving, track, severe service. There is a huge difference between...
  16. First oil change dealer put wrong engine oil.

@Bikeman315 ..... to follow your logic if the cause of the BBQ tick remains a mystery how do you know oil is not the cause? FYI The Ford dealer I take my Mustangs to (high volume Mustang seller) has not had one instance of BBQ tick (a too common phenomenon) when oil filters have been pre filled...
  17. First oil change dealer put wrong engine oil.

@StangMobile ..... #1. Get that $hit out of there right now and make the moron who used it replaces it for free - with what YOU specified ....5W30 FULL synthetic. End of discussion. The 5W30 can make a huge difference in your engine's performance and will likely prevent the dreaded BBQ tick from...
  18. Do you store your car in winter and why if or not

BRINE is the new KILLER........Where I live there are plenty of days there is no snow on the road. It is tempting to take the GT for a run - BUT - It is often on these days that the road crews, particularly if snow/freezing rain is in the forecast, to use spray LIQUID BRINE SOLUTION of the bare...
  19. Seat Covers Installed

    @JPGC_S650 ......great job, awesome look!
  20. Do you store your car in winter and why if or not

@Allanrock59 ..... huge postings on line about 2024 Mustang front fender liner fails. Tony Unica has a number of posts on the internet and most Mustang forums. These holes are pretty big. Get a flashlight and look at your front fender liners right at the bottom near the frame at the back in line...
