  1. Dark Horse Mustang vs. C8 vs. M2 (Savage Geese Comparison Review)

Anyone have experience with the depreciation on M2's or M240i's? Seems like a good alternative/competitor to our Mustangs, but my understanding is BMW depreciation is one of the worst, so I'd hate to lose $30-40K after a few years.
  2. Roof channel paint defect and grille plastic bubbling

Also noticed random small paint defects on my prior '24 Ecoboost, less so on my '25 GT. Definitely agree Ford needs to improve quality. If it were a 30K car, I'd bite my tongue and suck it up. But for 50K-70K, they better be at least as good as a Toyota Corolla that's half the price.
  3. Looking to pickup a 2025 GT premium with performance package - price expectations

Were you able to get the 'employee pricing' discount on a custom order?
  4. Traction Control

These cars still have some electronic intervention even in "fully off" modes. At least in S550 GTs, if you pull the classic Cars-and-Coffee move: a burnout from a stop while making a turn onto a street, it will let you spin tires until your first counter-correction, brake stab, or letting off...
  5. Best wheel cleaner solution and method

I used to use wheel cleaners without issue but would caution against any acid wheel cleaners. After driving my new GT home from the dealer 100 miles away, I noticed the paint on the calipers and wheels was damaged by likely acid wheel cleaner during PDI. There are drip-streaks on the front...
  6. Suspension noise fix for Dark Horse Mustang = lubrication on back side of anti-ting ring

^Yes, from reading around on the internet I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. 6G Forum member had the same issue here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/10r80-clunk-noise.164619/ Links to TSB 20-2253 (for 2WD Ford Expeditions) but it's the same symptoms. Similar posts on F-150 forums as...
  7. Suspension noise fix for Dark Horse Mustang = lubrication on back side of anti-ting ring

Is this the same thing as the "transmission output flange" lubrication issue? https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/clunking-noise-from-the-transmission-when-slowing-down.161604/page-2#post-3311352 https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/clunking-small-knocking-when-light-braking.159124/
  8. clunking/small knocking when light braking

Maybe I have this too... clunking/small knock when decelerating gently to a stop, right before full-stop. Also coincided with a new jerk/clunk when shifting between R and D (10R80). Seems to be driveline issue rather than wheels/suspension.
  9. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

From someone with a base non-active exhaust (which I modified with a Roush axle-back), I highly recommend the factory active exhaust option. OEM active exhaust is like $1500? A good quality aftermarket exhaust system is say ~$1000 just for the parts, without install. Aftermarket exhausts...
  10. 24 GT performance pkg auto or 24 GT base 6 speed?

48K for a used '24 with 14K miles seems high. You can likely negotiate a new '25 Performance pack to 50K before tax. These cars often go for 4-8K under MSRP. Even after they stopped advertising "For America" pricing, you can still negotiate similar pricing (and many reports online that...
  11. Our S650 HP compared to the C8.

Thanks for the detailed write-up! EDIT: misread your graph and calculations. I will review this later in more detail.
  12. Our S650 HP compared to the C8.

Anyone driven both a GT (not Dark Horse) and a base C8? Wondering how the low-end torque and handling feel compares between them. Missing my old Camaro LT1's instant low-end torque in basically any gear. C8 supposedly has more torque than the LT1, but not sure if it feels that way.
  13. PP splitter on a non-PP Premium GT?

No, I just used the base part of 1 of the original push-pins on each side. I wasn't able to jam the top "pin" part of the push-pins in once the base was fitted into position. But it's been totally secure.
  14. Almost no love for the Ecoboost

Ecoboost is a great value for someone who wants a daily driver to get around town, or someone who isn't an "enthusiast" and just wants the style of an American coupe. I cross-shopped my prior '24 Ecoboost against a '25 Camry, because that was its intended purpose: an econobox daily for getting...
  15. Brand new car- something leaking!

Responded to you on reddit: (engine) oil from the oil cooler in front of the wheelwell.
  16. 2026 Mustang Order & Pricing Guides [Updated]

I believe you would get the car with standard parts and you can have the dealer install those FP parts as a separate transaction, which would entail the cost of the parts themselves + labor.
  17. GREAT DEALS ON 2026 MUSTANGS @ GRANGER MOTORS- 4% BELOW INVOICE!!

Do you guys ship the vehicle for customers who are not able to pick-up in Iowa, and if so, approximately how much might that cost (say to California)?
  18. Oil filter is different

IMO you definitely don't need an oil filter wrench. You can easily spin off/on these filters by hand to an appropriate torque.
  19. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

You may not be missing much, as these S650s feel much more buttoned down (neutered!) than S550's. The computers automatically brake specific wheels if you go into a corner too hot. Ford would rather you get brake wear rather than tire wear (at least in turns). I'm sure they can still do...
  20. 0% interest (48 months) and Leasing Incentives announced for Mustang.

If this is all they're willing to discount to clear out 25's, I take it the 26's won't see much discount at all? IMO even with employee pricing a base GT is already too pricy. Can't see many people buying at full MSRP without discount. Ford has been supporting Mustang sales the past 2 years...
