  1. Slightly loose body paneling on Driver's Side

I've noticed the rear rocker panel strip (if that's what you're referring to) tends to be loose back there towards the rear of the car, I think it's normal. They are often poorly-fitted too, and set "into" the body surface more than they should be (varies from car to car and side to side). QC on...
  2. Paint Calipers Grabber Blue

Nice! I'd like to do the same and have some questions: - How hard was it to mask and tape off everything? - Did you primer before paint, or just wire brush all surfaces then paint? - Any need to disconnect brake lines or anything? (Hoping to avoid this)
  3. Steering speed/ratio?

I too have wondered about this. Most likely via Forscan, under PSCM (Power Steering Control Module). There are little edits people have made (on other Ford vehicles at least) to change the steering feedback/roadbump-muting settings and such. So there might be a way to change the steering ratio.
  4. 2026 FX Package revealed in new Adriatic Blue Metallic color

They're playing the boomer-nostalgia card because kids can't afford Mustangs anymore
  5. Does anyone know where I can get temu version of this dash cover

Wonder if it causes overheating of the screens. Those screens get rly hot, and that cover may just trap in heat.
  6. The Added Costs of Buying a New Car

I too hate having to spend extra to be able to properly protect a new car. I try to find a middle ground. - Dashcam (great if they came integrated, but would end up quickly outdated like car audio systems) - Rock guards - PPF over headlights to slow hazing - Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax (spray on...
  7. White stuff/oxidation on brand new car brake caliper?

No, I'm in a hot dry area that was up to 100F last week. I'm referring to the caliper not the rust on the wheel hub, but it is interesting that it's so rusted so early. Built April '25, bought May '25, no exposure to rain/snow/salted roads, etc.
  8. White stuff/oxidation on brand new car brake caliper?

One rear brake caliper is missing that shiny silver finish the other one has. I've never had a brand new car caliper look like this. Never been on salted roads, etc. What is that white stuff is and how do I get rid of it? Or is it oxidation and thus the surface is already screwed? Rubbing...
  9. PP splitter on a non-PP Premium GT?

Just did this mod today, highly recommend if you want a tiny bit more aggressive but still a simple look to the front end. A lot of aftermarket lips were too busy, too big, or didn't match the modern "low-poly" boxy/sharp car styling trend used by the S650 (see Hyundai, BMW, Toyota, etc. all...
  10. Frame rail paint peeling - normal?

Lifted for the first time today and noticed some peeling/flaking of the paint underneath the frame rails. Wasn't me lifting from there, I've never contacted those areas before. One section even has a little rust! Only ~350 miles on the car, manufactured April '25, purchased May '25, only driven...
  11. Oil Life at 0% After 300 Miles

System is pretty smart. I wonder what factors it takes into account and how it decides.
  12. Splash Guards

How necessary are splash guards for base 255 width all-season tires? Almost never driven on gravel. I see most posters who got them are PP or DH or otherwise have wider/stickier tires.
  13. Raise passenger seat?

I think you're right, at least for us Americans. I saw a clever idea online to find a driver's seat from a right hand drive Mustang, but not likely to be able to source that cheaply here in the US.
  14. Suspension and torque to yield bolts and reuse

Curious to hear technician or expert opinions on this. On Camaros and Corvettes I've encountered alignment hardware being TTY/1-time use, but I don't know if people ever actually get a proper job per OEM protocol. Best alignment shop in town was pissed when I asked if I could supply them...
  15. First time owner and looking for a deep tone exhaust

But muffler deletes and most axle-backs are essentially just a simple pipe going back, no? It seems like a relatively uncomplicated setup. I think the other reason why muffler deletes aren't more common is they sound very bad if combined with X/H/headers. Raspy/tin can from what I heard. But I...
  16. First time owner and looking for a deep tone exhaust

Unpopular opinion: muffler delete or axle-back. Below for example is the cheapest reasonable-quality (409/304 SS) S650-fitting axle-back I could find after obsessively scouring the internet. Notice how the family comment that it's not dramatically louder, but a much deeper tone. That's exactly...
  17. Do you really have a question unique to S650?

Ok ok then, I have a perfect S550/S650 cross-over question for these esteemed and seasoned Mustang6G old-timers. Here's one that'll stump ya, which I haven't been able to get a consistent answer to: Do '15-'17 Mustang GT axle-back exhausts (single tip on each side) fit '24+ Mustang GTs without...
  18. Raise passenger seat?

Base Mustang passenger seats don't even have manual height adjustment. Is there a seat bottom part I can buy to add the pump handle for raising the passenger seat?
  19. An Interesting Find During An Oil Change

Thanks for the tip. Kind of scary someone already had serious subframe deterioration on a new model car, even if it was exposed to some salt/water. I thought American cars were known to be stronger against rust, whereas Japanese cars rusted more easily.
  20. Possible automatic transmission issue ?

I found a similar sound online, is this the sound you're referring to? (faint whistle-rattle) This is what that owner said in response to one of the comments: "Unfortunately as weird and annoying as the noise is, it is not known to be a "problem" so it was not fixed. This was in my 6 speed...
