  1. I might have messed up

Spot weld something onto the bolt, then back it out
  2. Anyone else have these alignment issues?

Yes, normal. One of my S650s had a couple plastic push-pins missing on the bottom from the factory because it didn't line up and they just omitted them.
  3. Clunking noise from the transmission when slowing down!

When I had this issue on my '25 GT and would listen very carefully, I could also get the noise accelerating slowly from a stop. Whenever I hit 2-3mph either slowing down or speeding up (1-->3 or 3-->1) it would make a clunk and you could feel it in the floorboard. It would even sometimes happen...
  4. Clunking noise from the transmission when slowing down!

If you have continuous gear display enabled, I would monitor the gears to see if it's going 3 --> 2 --> 1 in Sport mode, versus 3 --> 1 in Normal mode. I would get the clunk when it downshifted from 3 --> 1.
  5. I gotta say - Carvana rocks.

Selling to Carmax/Carvana is the superior option in many cases. They often pay more than dealers, and you don't have to deal with tirekickers (or worse) coming to your house, knowing where you live, driving your car, taking up your time, etc. Depending on your lifestyle, income, how much you...
  6. Active Exhaust Upgrade

From what I gather, it's not really practical or worth it. A cheap and ghetto-tech way of doing it is to buy 2 take-off OEM active exhaust mufflers (~$300 on eBay), and devise a simple mechanical method to flip the valves open/closed (reach your hand under the muffler to switch it before you...
  7. S650 bodywork repair bill

Damn that sucks man... I don't know how they even repair that--cut out the original RQP and weld in a new one? Honestly if it were me I would want the responsible party's insurance to buy out the car since it's so new and I'd get a new one.
  8. Brand new car: wiper fluid hose was disconnected

This seems to have been a common complaint when I was looking up my own issue. I noticed that on my previous '25 GT as well. It seems the fluid evaporates out of the top of the lines easily so they need to fill up again on next requested spray
  9. Dark Horse- What did you Mod today?

Lookin' aggressive. I much prefer the double vent vs the stock single vent. Stock vent looks like a silly forehead stamp. Did the body shop paint the hood as an individual piece, or did they blend the fenders?
  10. Brand new car: wiper fluid hose was disconnected

Hope this helps someone in the future who might land on this from the Google. Both wiper nozzles wouldn't spray. Pump audible, no visible leak at tank or in engine compartment. Fix: remove hood liner (pop out Christmas tree pins with trim removal tool). Then activate the wiper fluid, observe...
  11. Anchor room instrument cluster protector arrive crushed

I wouldn't want to install that, especially if it came with edges exposed to dirt like that. Seller wants you to try to install because 1) it makes you go away for a while, and 2) there's a chance you won't return to complain further so they don't have to resolve it. Personally I'd ask for a...
  12. Brand new Ecoboost, few seconds of lifter tick sometimes

Seems to have disappeared, fingers crossed. Maybe bad gas, old gas in the lines? Was a leftover '25 sitting 6 months. Noticed it loudest the first time they started it in the dealer delivery bay. Not a true cold start, since they drove it to the delivery bay. Loud metallic slapping, almost like...
  13. Continuous Gear Display on Non-paddle shift Ecoboost

I believe that's the normal intended function. It downshifts for engine braking, and if you coast down to a lower speed, it will downshift again to keep engine braking. I believe if you floor it, it will eventually hit redline and upshift (haven't tried since I'm still in break-in period). The...
  14. Used road side assistance yesterday.

Makes me wonder: is it the batteries' fault, or do Mustangs have parasitic drain issues I've also used Ford Roadside when I got a flat on a rural road near Yosemite. Came in super handy. Their call centers are all over, I think I had agents from Philippines and US. But they were really good at...
  15. 2028 Camaro 7th gen approved! 🥊

Excited for this. Really loved my Camaro LT1 (cheapest trim with the V8). Now on my 3rd S650 Mustang, they just don't handle as well and predictably as the 6th gen Camaros. Even the 4cylinder Camaros were super tossable and balanced, and the V6s had amazing high-RPM howl.
  16. A10 transmission loud mechanical clunk at startup

Had a '24 Eco and '25 GT, both did this rarely. Only if the car was warm-started (5-40min after prior driving), but not always, and never happened on cold starts. I think it's a design issue with the trans/driveline, but that info A.alansari posted basically says Ford considers it normal...
  17. Paddle Shifters

We should have both. That's the industry norm on everything from decade+ old Camrys to Dodge Challengers and Chevy Camaros. Ford is just trying to save money with one less set of switches. They even omit the paddle shifters from all base Ecoboosts since 2022, whilst Corollas and other econo...
  18. Brand new Ecoboost, few seconds of lifter tick sometimes

I suspect it's due to oil aeration from oil over-fill. The oil level has consistently come back ~1/4" to 1/2" above the top dot. This might also explain why I haven't noticed any ticking on a true morning cold start, but rather after a short run, when the oil has been aerated, then I hear it on...
  19. Brand new Ecoboost, few seconds of lifter tick sometimes

Metallic tapping for a few seconds, then gone. Happens rarely, after an auto-stop-start. Never noticed it on a true cold start (like in the morning). I'm guessing lifter tick. Checked oil level: full. Brand new car so should not be aged timing components or anything like that. Is this normal...
  20. Add paddle shifters - theory

So far, people have been adding paddle shifters by buying a whole Dark Horse/GT wheel, either hoping to match your trim/features (+/- adaptive cruise), or switching over the buttons if mismatched. However, I wonder it's possible to buy just the paddle shifter assemblies themselves + the...
