As I think about this...
Mine had 283 miles, albeit the sales papers showed 282. I purchased the Eco-Boost on September 4, 2024. Current mileage is 1,240, which means I've driven it 957 miles, or less than 200 miles per month. If I take away the dyno runs, and a few runs down the 1/4.....?
Supposedly, the mechanic who did the install checked off the boxes which included a reset but not a description of the reset. I can reset it again, but I'm laying odds it won't fix the issue, as if I really cared!
This is about the best article on the 10R80: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford%E2%80%93GM_10-speed_automatic_transmission
It was my understanding that GM and Ford were to be equal partners in developing the 10R/10L. I tried finding the R&D monies spent, but only came up with Ford carrying most...
Doesn't matter. Taking stickers and other design elements from a fancy model, sticking them on a lessor model to generate a unique one is disingenuous! So soon we forget; GM's Beach Boys inspired, State Specials of the 70s comes to mind.
My 2019 Ranger has ASS. It worked about a dozen times when it was new and then never again (?). About a year later, it started giving me an error on the screen with words to the affect... Shutting down accessory power due to low battery...
I recently replaced the battery as the resting voltage...
Finding someone to do striping (paint of vinyl) correctly isn't always an easy task. We have a couple of detail shops here in Roswell, NM, but neither one is as up to snuff as SoCal was during the 70s. I guess the art has finally fizzled out. Nonetheless, I'll always miss RatFink and company!
When I first saw a photo of the RTR Eco-Boost, I thought it was a design disguise to cover up what it was going to look like in the real world. My bad! To say it is ugly is an understatement! It begs the question... Why would you cover up a perfect Jennifer Lawrence body with a gallon of blue...
All this talk about rear fog lamps brings back memories of 1952. Most posters here were born way after that date, but a few of us (even yanks!) remember it.
There are other weird things which happen too. For example, if you turn off the traction and/or stability controls and step out of the vehicle, they both turn back on! Don't you just love law switches?
It isn't the White House nor the car companies which will dictate vehicle trends. It is none other than us gear heads aka the buying public. While there are niches in the market for hybrids, and an even smaller niche for EVs, the world will have ICE vehicles for many more years. We can all argue...
The Forscan is just part of the equation. Look up the price of the steering wheel with heating and paddles. Geesh! That's the nearly $2,000, and that's with a 25% discount!
If I hadn't of owned a Ranger already, I would not have purchased a 2024 Mustang. Here are a few salient points. The 2019 Ranger replete with Borla-supplied, Ford exhaust system, is at least 20dB quieter than the 2024 Mustang Eco-Boost's stock system! The Mustang's ride is harsher by far, than...
This is about the 3rd or 4th time I've seen this issue crop up on line. While on the surface, this seems like a simple possibility (fix?), but alas it is not.
First, you need the steering wheel. I have 'just' a 2024 Premium, it does have a heated steering wheel, and Ford loves their heated...
