The US is not China or Sweden. While the numbers look good on paper, there are a few underlying factors we mustn't forget about.
Speaking of just the US; In order to provide enough electrical infrastructure to support to a 10% EV market, will cost US taxpayers over $4 trillion. This figure...
My only question would be... When will auto makers and pols alike, realize that EVs had a rather limited market (Opine: no more than 10%, and perhaps half that)? If Ford would have divided their resources similarly, they (et. al.) wouldn't be in the financial position they find themselves in...
Well, perhaps some of them like money too much. There is a Dealer Bulletin and a TSB on the screen issues. Sometimes dealers can charge back Ford, others not, but if they're customer oriented, they'll do it regardless.
Problems like this can be dealer killers. This statement, or words like...
One would assume you have the necessary info input to the software setup? My local dealer says improper set up is the most common mistake. By the way, dealers will upgrade the software for you, if you ask.
Thermistors are nothing more than resistors which change their resistance with temperature. Their linear region is rather narrow, so when large variations in temperature need to be measured, IR detectors are often used due to their wide bandwidth.
In this specific case, a run-of-the-mill...
My long-since departed wife used to complain about the same issue. That was before she let he Acura Coupe roll into a local constabulary. What ensued, speaks for itself!
Tongue in cheek... I wonder how a Mustang owner would feel, if he removed the car cover only to find a junk Kia hiding underneath instead of his DarkHorse?
Oh! And don't say it couldn't happen!
As I've mentioned before, this is a concern to me as well. I can think of a dozen reasons why, but the main one is, I always set the parking brake when getting out of the car. Call it habit, but it is a good one to have!
Seems like I'm always stealing a thread, but I'm reminded....
I forgot to put up my trash can yesterday (the truck came after 7:30 pm!). As my Eco-Boost was idling in my driveway, I walked behind the car to get the trash can. Cheese Whiz Batman, the damn thing is noisy! Maybe I should have...
Sorry for a bit of thread stealing... I had an accident investigator tell me some years ago, that sandals, flip-flops, and similar designed shoes (?), were responsible for the majority of gas/brake misapplication. I'd bet he was correct!
Lane assist built into a sports car is as relevant as the idiots who mandated its existence!
Wouldn't it be nice if you could just drag unneeded applications into the trash never to be seen again?
Do you really know of a career politician who isn't a cheat?
Harry Truman said it best: "Show me a career politician and I'll show you a career criminal."
There are web sites which offer all sorts of data blocking, anti-tracking, and a host of other 'protection' schemes. None of them work 100%, and in fact most don't even cover 25%. Do what you will, payout what you can afford, and feel warm and fuzzy. NOT!
If you own a cellphone, you're being...
I purchased a 2024 Mustang Premium Eco-Boost on September 4th, 2024. I needed a car almost right now, and I knew exactly what I wanted. My dealer (Roswell Ford's Dick Graham, Roswell, NM) found exactly what I wanted, and it arrived the next day. Soon after, I joined this group.
I've followed...
Be happy! All it does on an Eco-Boost Premium is turn the brake hold off and on. It would have been better if you could set it to your favorite drive mode, etc., rather than push a half dozen other buttons in lieu of it.
