  1. Where is everyone from

According to popular think, I'm from Mars! Since I live in Roswell, NM, maybe I am from Mars!?
  2. Does anyone else despise the warning chimes?

Personally, whomever came up with the chime (if you could call it that) was clever. The tum-tum-tum, sped up, sound just like the sounds of a horse galloping. https://pixabay.com/sound-effects/search/galloping%20horse/ This link should work... Select the third sound down.
  3. Broken Dark Horse

Well, you could have ordered from Roswell Ford (New Mexico), and had your pride and joy underwater for about 24 hours!
  4. GT 2024 - is this transmission sound normal?

I'd certainly get under it, and check the u joints and mounts if nothing else.
  5. Fender flares for DH

Holy moly Batman, as Robin would say! At that price, someone will surely step up to the plate! The pricing sort of reminds me of the audioholics who pay $500 for a 3 foot power cord, then swear it makes a difference! I also would like to know the shipping costs?
  6. If I was to sell/trade my 60th anniversary Brittany Blue could I make money on it?

The truth of the matter is, we're all lucky to be driving a pony car. Chevy quit, Dodge and Chrysler quit, and both will never return me thinks.
  7. Guess what UPS dropped off today?

Considering the monies I might make if I still had my old vacuum molding table, perhaps I should look around for one. The hardest part is making the actual mold. Just think. Left and right covers made from clear acrylic. Or perhaps body colored ones if you could find the material.
  8. Anybody install the "Steeda Mustang 'Stop the Hop' Street Starter Kit"

I don't own a GT, but I have to assume the main reason for the wheel hop is the sudden application of torque (popping the clutch in other words). I can't say I've even seen a 10R80 do it, but they might depending on the launch practice.
  9. Traction Control and/or Stability Control

Smurf is correct! The ONLY way to completely disable it, is to remove the dyno plug. That's not such a good idea, because if you forget to plug it back in, you won't have ANY safety controls. One might complain about that, but it is best to think before you leap.
  10. Traction Control and/or Stability Control

Perhaps there should be another open thread about using or not using traction and/or stability controls? When my Eco-Boost was delivered, it had 283 miles on the OD (dealer to dealer driven), so I wasn’t worried about pushing it hard. It didn’t take long to figure out that turning off the...
  11. Patching Fender Holes on S650 this will be a real issue for Australian Owners

I didn't fill them per se. I installed mug flaps instead which covers them up.
  12. GT Convertible Autobahn Run

According to one internet site, the average speed on the Autobahn is 135 kPH or about 80 MPH. Speaking only for myself, I won't drive over 80 MPH on the highway even in Texas where that limit is often ignored. It is a combination of alertness (sign of danger vs. reaction time), stopping...
  13. Winter storage question ( don't laugh)

Well, I wonder if GKman got his Mustang? Maybe they still wanted 25% over the MSRP?
  14. If I was to sell/trade my 60th anniversary Brittany Blue could I make money on it?

During the utter idiocy of the Covid political panic, I would have said yes. At this late date, I doubt it regardless of the production number.
  15. Dark Horse over speed bumps?

My Eco-Boost is dead stock without any add-on spoilers. So far, I haven't damaged anything under the car. I hope it stays that way. As a sidelight: My 2019 Ranger rides quieter with a whole lot less road noise than my 2024 Eco-Boost Mustang. In fact, if there was only one thing I don't like...
  16. Shout out to WeatherTech

Recently, just in passing, I made mention that my new WeatherTech floor mats 'at least fit', with a reference to my 2019 Ranger's mats that never did! My comment caught the eye of WeatherTech's Customer Relations department. With out a lot of superfluous verbiage, they replaced the front mats...
  17. Recaro seats

I'm into cozy too! The seats being heated are nice, but the cooling is noisy! The heated steering wheel is nice too, and quick!
  18. V8 Engine cover - how to remove?

Instead, stick a remote thermometer under the hood above the engine, and measure the difference with and without the cover!
  19. 810HP Herrod Performance Mustang S650 Launches in Australia (Sinclair Ford)

I guess I'm a spoilsport. An Eco-Boost can be a real handful on full tilt. I can only imagine what 800+ HP added to the equation?
  20. Why this Australian racetrack has banned electric cars

I think one of the biggest issues about EVs is their insurance costs. Fact is, some insurers will not cover losses if they're parked inside a structure. Even when they do cover them, the price is extraordinarily high, as in only Elon can afford the cost!
