  1. Dark Horse Clutch replacement/recommendation

Funny. Fox used to be the go-to company for rugged multi plate clutches. You almost don't hear about them any more.
  2. My Mustang Journey

Love is a very splendid thing indeed!
  3. If I was ever to upgrade from the Mustang...

    As long a the engine isn't a Cadillac-esque V8/10/12!
  4. V8 Engine cover - how to remove?

If it is like the Eco-Boost, the engine will run cooler with it off.
  5. Mustangs little Snow Excursion

When the weather gets as bad as the vid shows, I stay the heck home! Yes, I'm retired!
  6. Borla Atak Catback exhaust tips sticking together

Based solely o the photos, I agree that is too close. I have a Borla made, Ford supplied exhaust on my Ranger. I too was worried about the closeness, but the Ranger setup is about 1/4 inch, not 1/16 like the photo shows.
  7. Smaller pulley for stage 1 Whipple?

Personal opinion. When you get to any point which pushes the limit, it is time to hire a professional! Supercharging (turbo or blower) isn't about 'Oh let's add two pounds of boost and see what happens' scenario! All it takes is just one piston pre detonating due to a lean condition, and pow...
  8. 3rd gear lockout/grind continues to be alive and well on these cars equipped with the MT-82 + mini ownership reflection after 15k miles.

Oh boy, here I go again... 10R80 If you're one of these guys who is caught up into the stop light derby mentality, then I guess the manual is the way to go. This said, most of us use our Mustangs as daily drivers (I'm not full time as I own a Ranger too), and rowing a manual box is rush hour...
  9. Three weeks after purchase with 170 miles on the odometer, She is Supercharged!

Break in periods these days aren't much more than hold overs from yesteryear. You do want things to wear in like rings, but that specific issue was over in about 5 minutes. What is most important is that YOU get broken in! If you check around, you'll find out that the first thousand miles or so...
  10. 2025 S650 production

What if we found out, that by removing the screen, classic Mustang analog gauges were underneath?
  11. X-pipe VS H-pipe.

It is all noise pollution! Interesting side point. About the only 'attribute' electric cars (seemingly) have, is they're quiet. However, I recently had a chance to witness a Tesla Plaid rip off a 0 to 60 dash. Aside from the tire noise, the screech from the mechanicals is awe inspiring, but not...
  12. Engine Oil Change Trap Door Please.

Mine hasn't needed an oil change yet, but when it does I won't worry. Maybe the dealer guy will, but not me!
  13. Just drove an insanely loud Mustang with resonator and muffler delete

I bet it didn't sound like smooth butter?
  14. Voltage fluctuation issue

The voltage changes because the alternator output is governed by the Battery Monitoring System (BMS). Occasionally, the BMS tests the battery's State of Charge (SoC) and Depth of Charge (DoC). It unloads the alternator (disables charging), measures the voltage and current, and over time the drop...
  15. How do I make this GT into a thumper- real cam upgrade or Ghost Cam?

With a little math and the cam specs available on line, you can calculate the max equivalent overlap of a Coyote 5.0. I won't give it away, but anyone doing the exercise will be surprised!
  16. AWD Supercharged Mustang (S550)

There are always two things every village has. One of course is the idiot, and the other a genius. We obviously know which one we're dealing with here!
  17. Exhaust warranty

    Here is the PDF. https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/COMPS-3072/pdf/COMPS-3072.pdf
  18. X-pipe VS H-pipe.

Upfront... I'm not a pundit of overly-restrictive EPS rules and regulations. Some are good, some are extreme cases of bourgeois oligarchs exercising their control over us proletariats! (The emphasis' on Lenin is intended!) The burble, rumble, rattle, pops, and bangs we (collectively) like to...
  19. Did the s650 live up to the "Poster car" promise Farley made?

Well, I guess I have to be the devil's advocate once again. I do not know Jim Farley, never met him, or even seen him in person. Nonetheless, I believe he's done a better job of running FoMoCo than Jim Hackett did. I base my observation on the financial health of Ford, and the dividend payments...
  20. Side Mirror Angle When in R

Buy a Lincoln. That is, if they still offer the feature?
