IMO if you are storing it for the winter, and don't plan on starting it up every other week, I would disconnect the battery from the car and then connect the battery tender to the battery. Better yet, bring the battery in the house.

Are you talking about a tuning device? If you have the SCT/Bama tuner you can sell it (not sure if you can use it to datalog on an S650)
