The intercooler is actually inside the supercharger on a positive displacement supercharger like the Whipple or Roush.
The heat exchanger (Roush calls it a low temp radiator, because the coolant never gets as hot as engine coolant) is the radiator-looking piece that goes on the front of the...
I have a handful of times. But generally I do not. Never taken it out in the 30s or below (other than maybe moving it out to the driveway when I need the space). And the car sits in the garage all winter where it gets down to 0 plenty of times.
Once you get below 55 degrees the performance falls right off a cliff. Even at 60 you can notice it.
If it's sunny etc it might be okay-ish...but if it's dark, 50 degrees, you're basically going to be riding the traction control any time you give it power. Boosted you will be able to spin them...
Probably no problem making all the HP you can make on 93 before you run into octane limiting your timing. It's E30 or 93+Boostane numbers that would make more power.
This is a good question for your tuner. How far do they (or you) want to push it? How much have they made on other 24/25's with a...
There are a couple people at the gym with BMWs that run the Michelins even when it's single digits...
Their OEM tire might be rated for different temps than what you buy from TireRack for a Mustang, though.
You will see a massive gain from a tune on a turbo car (40-50hp) but on a regular V8 there is only a fraction of that to be had. DH is pretty maxed out from the factory on 93
Catch can, air filters, h pipe don't need to be tuned for since they really don't do anything. Headers really don't need a tune either.
you'll pick up a tiny bit of power with a tune on 93 but the benefit is in the automatic trans tuning and e85 tune if you have that in your area
Start car. Put seat belt on. Plug SCT device in. Turn off traction control. Turn off TPMS warning. Back out of garage. Close garage door. Back out of driveway. Drive away normally. Let water temp hit 180 before giving it the beans (oil temp trails water temp but that's good enough)
Ford saying "do not prime the engine by cranking it" doesn't mean anything I guess.
It doesn't flow as much as the engine starting up. Too low of an rpm from the starter alone.
