  1. Cam Dashboard

If you look around, you'll find over 35 manufacturers of dash cams. A large portion are literal duplicates save for the name. Some aren't worth the effort, while others are over priced. While newer models might have Sony's so-called new sensor, mounted behind a plastic lens more or less negating...
  2. E-Brake (Parking Brake) Not Engaging (sometimes)

You bring up an issue (or two) about the "e-brake". If indeed the "e" stands for emergency brake (rather then "e" as in electronic), then what happens if you apply it at say 10 mph. The answer is, it will not apply! At about 7 ish or below, it will apply. Not what I'd call an emergency brake...
  3. Missing valve cover bolts

In any given application, it is not uncommon to use unused threaded bosses. I have them too, and my Mustang is an EB.
  4. Windshield glare from dashboard

Your eye angle with relation to the reflection's incident angle is part of the issue. Personally, I like a more upright driving position hence the seat is as high as it'll go (I'm nearly 6 foot and still have good headroom). I can't say I've ever been annoyed by the reflection, and I have no...
  5. K&N intake problem

In order to get the filter into place, you have to remove the temperature sensor and one hose. I assume you reconnected those?
  6. New Gauge Mount for 650 Mustang

If you know how to read a boost/vacuum gauge, it can be a tell-tale indicator of a problem. I added on to my (well-tuned!) Ranger, and it sits in dash tray. Since I own a 2024 EB, it would be nice to have one visible without having to change the dash settings, but this solutions a bit intrusive.
  7. Low fluid levels on Fords to save a few bucks?

Questions remain! How would you know if the 10R80 is low? Did you jack up the car and check it yourself? The same goes for the rear end? Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) could also stand for... Please Do It! I suspect some dealers just don't take the time to do a PDI correctly. I guess they think...
  8. 2025 Mustang GT Gear Install

Keep in mind, the Coyote's peak torque is at 4,600 RPM as I recall. The good part. is, it likes to rev!
  9. Rear shelf covering

Way back when, the package shelf often held the baby of the family who managed to inhale all of the second hand cigarette smoke! Worse, everyone thought it was an okay practice.
  10. Does anyone know why Ford deleted wireless charging for S650 MY25?

Supposedly, the vent holes (no air coming from them that I can feel) is supposed to keep the iPhone (and Android?) from overheating. If the capacity is under about 50% charge, and you're using it, my iPhone does overheat to the point it shuts off. As a result, I do not use the wireless charging.
  11. Got into a hit and run, insurance estimates at $4700 damages, body shop is $7600. I want to get it fixed. How does the repair process work?

I can't speak for today's body shops, but when I ran one, the net margins were over 25%. The higher the profit, the more bonus money I made.
  12. 2024 eco boot premium speedo display issues

Even with the latest update from Ford, I can force my 2024 Eco-Boost display to act up! All I have to do, is start pushing buttons before the display completes its startup routine. The same goes for any individual setting. In other words, after making a change, wait a few seconds before you make...
  13. Speed limiter 140mph?????

Yes, but let us not forget, the EU still requires diver's ed!
  14. Got into a hit and run, insurance estimates at $4700 damages, body shop is $7600. I want to get it fixed. How does the repair process work?

For 2+ years I ran the body shop of the largest Chevrolet dealer in Kansas City. Here it is many years later, and I still see prejudice with respect to body shops being in bed with insurance companies. The basis seems to be that they do a worse job of repairs and cost the customer more money...
  15. Got into a hit and run, insurance estimates at $4700 damages, body shop is $7600. I want to get it fixed. How does the repair process work?

When my Ranger got hit about a year ago, I had the same experience with StateFarm as timd38 did. In my case Caliber Collision transported the truck to Lubbock, TX due to the damage. Took 6 weeks (parts issue), but was perfect afterwards. Heck, the front bumper looked better than it did new...
  16. Speed limiter 140mph?????

According to hotcars.com, topspeed.com, slasher.com (et. al.)... When it comes to recent and current production cars (albeit a few per year in some cases) the fastest Mustang ever (GT350) isn't even in the top 100! Fact is, the GT350 doesn't make it into the top 10 (12th place) domestically...
  17. Wind Noise

I have a 2024 Eco-Boost Premium, and yes at highway speeds there is some (as you put it) wind noise. I personally do not think it is excessive or bothersome. If you really want to talk about noise, let's talk about the lousy OEM Continental tires Ford chooses to supply!
  18. Rear glass defect or stain?

Dealers should indeed fix things like this, but don't be surprised if they won't. I'm not a lawyer, so interpreting some of the fine print in the warranty document may be deficient. But as I recall, there are some limitations with respect fixing some paint blemishes and similar owner...
  19. Disabling Auto Start Stop permanently?

In view of the latest news from Ford and the EPA, I suspect a future software upgrade will allow anyone with ASS, to turn it off permanently. Ford et.al. don't want to talk about it, but a few dealers are: To wit, replacement starters and/or flywheels on some models are all but non existent...
