I personally haven't needed to change any spark plugs in either of my EB vehicles. Step back a few years to my Honda hotrod, and yes! In 15k miles, three sets were needed. Once I switched on one step cooler, the issue went away.
This story is similar to mine, except it was a 1989 SHO Taurus. Won't bore folks with the details, but the general flow is almost exact. Well-known, multi-dealership with a rather poor service department. In this regard, I think Ford Motor Company needs to reexamine dealers lack of expertise...
I purchased an after-market shock tower cross brace for my 2024 EB. I didn't install it not for the dipstick issue, but the fact you can't remove all of the spark plugs (again EB) without removing the brace! I haven't seen an EB with a factory brace, so I don't know if this is a universal issue...
More weirdness. The right dash in my 2024 Eco-Boost is always different than the left screen. Supposedly, the so-called upgrade fixes the issue, but it didn't for me. The Ford dealer is insisting I get the software checked so they can get some sort of code to send to Ford. That gets done Monday...
I read several of the car mag reviews about the EB, and all of them made mention of the poor-sounding (switchable) exhaust system. I believe it was Car & Driver who said... (SIC) 'No setting sounds as good as the non-switchable system.'
Here's a thought... Considering the costs involved (Dark Horse with extra goodies, etc.) perhaps Ford would do just as well bringing out a race-ready Mustang in white. No body paint, no HVAC, no seats except the driver's, extra cooling (oil and water) with the only option the addition of a Whipple.
Let us not forget market trends. For one, both GM and Chrysler have dropped their ICE performance models, still hoping similar model EVs will retake the lead. With incentives going away soon (Muskized as it were), Ford's Mustang will remain the only true pony car. It will, in my opinion, offer a...
Poignant reminder which happened just a few minutes ago.
When I walked from the parking lot to the grocery store, I noticed an older Kia with the engine running, and no one inside that I could see. There was someone in front of the car, so I ignored the situation. About 30 minutes later while...
Driving a stick shift is like riding a bicycle. Once you learn.... Even owning a 7 speed stick is no guarantee someone can't just jump in and drive off.
If you're one of those paranoid types who dreads the possibility of someone driving off with your garage kitten, then why do you leave the...
Speaking only for myself! OLD!
I suspect I'm the oldest one here at 85 years of age. I did buy a baby-poop-yellow Mustang back when I was 39 (1979), and yes it was a turbo. The suck-through turbo was a near disaster, but it was what it was. The purchase was almost a necessity, as I needed a car...
