It appears the Sports Mode is the most adaptive. I like it, so that is what I use. That said, I can imagine it getting tiring in stop and go traffic not to speak of lower milage.
All I hear is a loud exhaust! We all need to realize the Mustang (any model) is not designed to be quiet as a church mouse. It is more like the cat chasing that church mouse—loud and screechy!
It is unfortunate, but the Eco-Boost is a Rodney Dangerfield product—it gets no respect!
I agree with others as the Premium version is the way to go. Besides the screen issue, the interior is nicer, especially the heated/cooled seats.
Some folks complain about the 3:15 vs. 3:55 rear end, but...
Don't kid yourself! The Eco-Boost with the 10R80 and 3:15 gears is the best combination in my opinion. On the street, lousy Continental tires, and some of the worst roads in the country, I can rip off 0 to 60s in 4.7 seconds. I can better this by a couple of tenths atop the glued surface at the...
There are several reasons upping the percentage of ethanol over the factory spec (E85) isn't a good idea. Here's one...
To properly run high levels of ethanol requires major changes to the fuel system including injectors and higher flow fuel pumps.
Why? You'd think folks would realize what could be the possible damage to the drive train while purposely causing fire to erupt from the exhaust? To me, it is about as inane as doing donuts in the middle of Hollywood and Vine. As Forest Gump would say... "Stupid is as stupid does!"
Yes it does! I have over $5,000 under the hood of my 2019 Ranger. The crowning glory in my case was a 1986 Merkur. I paid $15,000 for it, and with in 90 days had spend nearly that much under the hood. I should get out the list of things which went under that hood. Hum? Maybe some day!
The dyno numbers might be on that page, I couldn't find them. But I did notice this on the Botton of the dyno pop-up (see below).
Adding just an CAI as step in increasing HP/TQ and yielding the numbers shown, is a shear fallacy! The same can be said about a cat-back exhaust. Yes you do get some...
Yes, that's an issue. My 2019 Ranger had the old sticking mixer door issues which was addressed twice under warranty. It cost me $1,300 to get it finally fixed. Unfortunately, I got a new annoying rattle along the way. Nothing is ever perfect!
Wouldn't it be nice if car interiors were like human skin—repairable over time? Then again, nicks and cuts leave scars on skin too!
Nothing man made is perfect, and never will be. Neither are humans, and marring just occurs. You can cover it up, mediate it a bit perhaps, coat it with a layer...
It is called Fuzzy Logic! If you drive like an old washer woman, Sports mode is as good as any. But as soon as you get aggressive, so does the Fuzzy Logic. This is why I like the mode for everyday driving; You know you have almost instant acceleration and aggressive shifting when you're in the mood.
I haven't weighed my Eco-Boost, but perhaps I should?
Some of the difference between the Dark Horse and the GT, are the different engine internals. Fact is, I haven't seen that fact mentioned too often. Based solely on that fact. if I was planning to add a Whipple, I'd also find a way to...
