Tuned. I suspect in hot areas of the country, a larger intercooler might be in order especially if you race you ride—I don't! I've never noticed and sudden retardation or obvious change in boost level, even here in the desert SW.
I don't drag race mine, but on the dyno you're correct. Best case is almost 345 HP and just over 410 FP. All said, I'll admit one small detail... 0 to 60 is in the very low 4s (Shell pump premium).
It is possible to use ForScan to change one simple command to allow auto rollup as well. If memory serves, it is posted on this site. You certainly don't want this part of the feature if a child or animal are in the vehicle—think about it!
I wonder that too. I'd bet most drivers only know something is amiss when their engine just quits or catastrophically goes up in smoke! I'd also bet some engines go boom on purpose for whatever reason. Say, buyers remorse? I even wonder how many average daily drivers have their oil analyzed? I...
Remember, adding an intercooler and pipes adds cubic volume after the turbo. This fact does increase lag time. When I did the gambit to my 2019 Ranger, there was indeed lag added, and it was noticeable. Did it help? In a word, yes. But then again, I had other pieces (exhaust, CAI, turbo) added...
I guess I could say my 2024 is one of one because I bought it! Ford doesn't release sales numbers until about 2 years after a model is released. And, if past experience means anything, it'll be about 10 years before Ford lists numbers for specific options.
I once bought a full-loaded, 1983...
"...the intercoolers are seriously inadequate..." Perhaps, but that depends on how you drive it, and what the ambient is. Turbocharged or not, heat gets to every engine, and causes the same issue; heat soak.
I live in Roswell, NM and it gets hot here. Supposed to be 102°F today! Heat does...
Subscription services, no matter their content or use, is one glaring example of why Americans now have the largest credit card debt ever, at $1,25+ Trillion! Part of this issue is the fact too many folks never scrutinize their credit card bills. One reason they don't is because they'd joined...
There are several after-market exhaust systems out there for the EC, and no two alike. But this one? It is the loudest, raunchiest one available! I guess that's why you ordered it?
This is so similar to repair manuals for electronics. They exist, but the cost is high and trying to figure out which parts and schematics apply to your specific model is impossible. Worse, they send you the manual on a USB so flimsy, it soon breaks. And this is progress?
Why don't we have them? Simple answer is.... NHTSA mandates. I'm not Nostredamus, but I'd bet we'll eventually see folding mirrors here too. I'd also bet mandated dash cams will come before the mirror option. We all ready have cabin voice recording on a lot of Detroit, vehicles, so why not video...
You need a PC running Widows, and connected to the net. Takes about 45 minutes. If you goof up, Ford's tech team can walk you through the install. If "I" had it to do all over again, I would do it myself! The dealer took 4+ days to do the job. I can tell you why, but that is almost a book-length...
