  1. Ford Performance Calibration Tune now available for 2025 2.3L EcoBoost engine

Apparently, lady in blue Mustang behind me could keep up?? Same lady in Walmart parking lot (sic): Why did you take the 5.0 emblems off? My reply: I didn't. All you need is the Ford Performance Tune. Lady: where can I buy that? I told her. Please don't sell modestly-dressed women who look like...
  2. Low battery warnings and things shutting off (2024 Eco-Boost)

One item I noticed (again! Dang it!) was the Hot Spot was turned on. Apparently any update resets the function. If the car sits a lot, this is a major cause of low battery conditions. Ford should know better, but we all know Big Brother is alive and well.
  3. Loose rear fender flare

3M makes a double-sided tape designed for automotive use. And in fact, it is used by Ford et. al. for holding on emblems and trim pieces. Look below for the correct width. Just make sure the surfaces are clean and oil-free...
  4. Low battery warnings and things shutting off (2024 Eco-Boost)

In the last three days, I've have several low battery alerts (warning?). The one this morning said (sic) low battery, exit warning isn't active... I've read on-line references to this very issue, but no TSB on Ford's site. Anyone else have this issue? (These alerts are similar to the ones I got...
  5. Ford Performance Calibration Tune now available for 2025 2.3L EcoBoost engine

The actual HP and torque is a bit more than Ford says it is, not that it matters much. If the increase in mileage isn't enough, the drivability certainly is. You will be surprised!
  6. Is it worth it to tune an ecoboost 2024 performance pack?

You can tune and boost one upwards of 500 HP (stock innards) with an E85 tune and the requisite parts upgrades. But I wouldn't if it is a daily driver. I've had the FPT tune for nearly 8 months, and the difference is all but astounding. The mileage in 'my' driving situation increased from ≈18...
  7. Candle strength reversing light !

I've never noticed mine being 'dim', but I agree the brake lights are much brighter.
  8. Customer GTD at dealership!

It must be me, but I think the "shift knob" looks tacky!
  9. New 2026 GT

Above all, keep your tire dealer happy.... You'll need him!
  10. Mustang Sales Report: 5,830 in April 2026, Increasing 18.4% YoY

I find this a bit ironic. If you had purchased a 2024 S650, the standard factory offering would have had more content than the current 2026 offering. As an example, the built in smart phone charger is no longer available in the Premium, to say nothing about the price increases model over model.
  11. Hit a Coyote With My Coyote

    Thankfully it wasn't turkey!
  12. Yet another software update.

Got into my '24 Mustang this morning, and a screen popped up telling me I had received another update, replete with version number! Only this time, the colors did not change nor did the chimes. And, I noticed the stop/start feature (?) was already switched off! I wonder if others have gotten an...
  13. S650 Dipping headlights

It should be obvious why. It is called squat.
  14. S650 Brake Noise Inside Car

I cannot hear the squeak in the video, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I had a squeak in my 2019 Ranger just as you pressed the peddle, and it was irritating. I mentioned this to one of the service writers. While Ford didn't have a fix, he did. It turned out the rod from the pedal to the...
  15. Ford Announces Nationwide Employee Pricing For All To Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary

For me, at least, sales promotions like Employee Pricing isn't any more specific than the old '50s TV sales routine Don't make a $300 mistake! Most vehicle buyers do not pay cash outright (they should, but they don't!). There are (almost) always trades-ins, carry-over liens, add-ons (VIN...
  16. Oil Catch Cans?

Remember, the Eco-Boost only needs one can.
  17. newbie to forum

Enjoy the ride, but remember one thing: If you hit the track regularly, it won't be long until we hear about your new Whipple!
  18. Start stockpiling parts for your s650 immediately

The so called Drunk-o-meter has been discussed for about 10 years. There are three detriments to its passing. First the technology is iffy at best. We know this because of the failure rate of the current blow in the tube units (false negative/positive failures are over 25%). Passive ones? I...
  19. Emergency brake light, how do you do that?

I believe that is part of a NHTSA mandate. It dates back to an accident where a driver laid for nearly a week before someone noticed her and her car which has rolled down an embankment. She survived incidentally. I find it difficult to imagine the system turning on (flashing lights, horn beeps...
