All of the reminds me of Warren Buffett's famous quote: "Price is what you pay; value is what you get"! So Mr. Buffett, what happens when the former is high, and the latter low?
Funny you should mention this. It appears the battery in my 2019 Ranger was going bad (runs down in 4 days. Been there before). I had replaced 15 months a go. Replacement including mobile fees? Zero! Warranty can be a good thing.
Richie, I agree. I had a yellow 1979 replete with a 2.3L suck-thru turbo. The only sound improvement I made was to open up the hood scope. The turbo whine was then loud enough, that nearby drivers looked over. Under a bridge, it was extra whiny. If only the power matched, but it did not—alas!
You can save a bunch of cash by looking over eBay for a compatible steering wheel with paddles.
I've driven a few paddled 10R80s including a few down the strip. Try as you might, using drag mode and letting the trans shift itself, always delivered the fastest times.
I suspect most...
I've researched this to some degree, but take my answers with some trepidation.
If you buy the correct steering wheel, it will not have any buttons, but it will have levers. Obviously, you reuse the OEM buttons and AirBag. The conversion does require the use of ForScan to change several...
I can answer the first one easily: 18 inch!
If you do a search here, you can find answers to the second questions. It isn't easy, to do, and you will require knowledge with ForScan.
Amazon offers about 10 different brands of iPhone interfaces. Again, a search will get you the data on the most...
I guess I don't understand? Do you want to but it, or are you trying to figure out what it cost to duplicate the fete?
There is one member here who always mentions the old adage... (sic) The faster you go the more it costs! I'll add this... If you have to ask, you can't afford it!
Yep! That's dead-stock Eco-Boost territory. Heck, even my 2019 Ranger with minor upgrades will whip those times too. I agree tires are one solution, but don't be surprised if they don't work as well as you are hoping.
The possibility of that happening depends on too many factors. Even the Torsen-equipped vehicles act different than the clutch type ones do.
You are correct about the Drag mode, but you left out the delayed shifting. In most cases (my opinion) the Sports mode stays in gear too long after the...
Anyone who has actively engaged in racing, will know the exact reason for the 'malady'. At least one got it correctly—change shoes!
It is not uncommon for racers to wear different shoes depending on the vehicle they're racing. And by shoes, I mean they're not necessarily 'racing' shoes...
If what we read is to be believed, then why don't the claimers include dyno results, along with any particular differences (including ambients), if any, over OEM stock? Further, we need to remember, the standard deviation of chassis dyno results is about 3%. A casual glance at HP and Torque...
There is no Easter egg! However, there is a small, flat, staked-in device which appears to be a carbon filter similar to those inside the GT intake tubes. However, I don't see any reason to remove it, as there is no way it restricts airflow.
I guess I could say drats, but I'll refrain.
I certainly agree about the advertised HP and Trq. ratings offered, including K&N. When I up the ante on my 2019 Ranger, the difference between a stock filter setup, one with a K&N (dry), and a Roush CAI (dry) was in the fluff of dyno readings. The MagnaFlow exhaust difference was about 5 HP...
If you go to the trouble to take it all apart, supposedly (I have not done this), but my friendly Ford knuckle-buster says there is a place for it to plug in.
What is more (or could be) interesting to me is how Ford determines what model and/or package gets what. I called my twin owner (his...
