I am of the mind, that Ford's (and every other make's) recommended maintenance schedules for high performance vehicles are to blame for most mechanical failures. Adding injury are those engines using wet belt architecture like the 2.7L TT V6 and 1.5L T.
I drive a 2024 Mustang Eco-Boost, one of...
Ducky is correct. And, it is something you need to program or it will not work. As noted, even if you sign up for using the vehicle's modem via cellphone channels, updates are only WiFi.
If you have the complex calculus skills to measure the air flow difference between stock and modified versions, you'd have to ask yourself if less than a one-digit difference was worth the effort?! I think not. In fact, the difference would be in the fluff (natural mathematical variation) of any...
Clever idea, but I still wouldn't use the wireless charger. I can't say why Ford removed it on later models, but I have an idea. I have an iPhone SE and it gets VERY hot when charged wirelessly. Hot enough that the rubber pad under the phone is a bit tacky feeling.
No. It is the top left button, on the right side of the steering wheel which looks like a person talking. It has a short push function and a long push function. The latter is the build in ones on my iPhone (Siri in my case).
The exasperating part is, the built in Sync function (short push) is...
I sort of agree with this, save for one point.
I'm used to using the Sync in my 2019 Ranger, and it is easier to use and you can disconnect using the SW buttons. But as the Mustang manual so states, you need to hold the button for about 2 seconds, and it switches the function to your iPhone...
If you find the 500 HP inadequate, you can always strap on a Whipple!
As for Subaru.... They still list an STI, but apparently they don't make the S209, which I believe you were referencing? Doesn't matter, my 2024 EB will run away from one of those, save for top speed. Imagine what your DH...
This reminds me of the dunce on YouTube® who Photoshops® older models and presents them as new and upcoming. As Barnum supposedly said... A sucker born every minute!
Personal experience: Every single Ford I have owned (over a dozen) have had squeaky brakes, especially when backing up. Don't try and find a cure (you won't!), and just live with it!
Drag mode is intended as its name suggests. As mentioned, it limits some of the gears but I can't say which ones (see above). Just get ready for the harsh and quick shifts!!!
I suspect Track mode would have its own set of variables, but I don't know what they are as I've never used it.
Sports...
I'm not sure what folks are looking for. I use Sports mode in all my daily drives. It is not perfect as some of the time lag between hard throttle and let up shifts takes longer than I think it should. But if you compare Sports to Drag mode, it is almost day and night. The latter provides almost...
Q6543: I agree, and Ford could do this easily. After all, the Ranger version has a trailer setting which forces the 10R80 to always shift through the first four gears. This is plenty enough for a 1/4 mile.
I can remember when gas was 19.9¢ per gallon. Of course, my salary as a soda jerk was .75¢ an hour. But like you, I still don't like paying over $50 to fill my tank.
Since I do not change my own oil... I leave it up to the dealer personnel. While this may sound an alarm for some, I don't as I read on the repair invoice the exact part numbers they used. In every case it is the premium 'performance' one.
By the way, I don't believe it storing vehicles...
As I have mulled this over too many times... I think it would be nice to be able to select the chime you wanted for each operation. After all, most smart phones allow you to select what you want, and even to record or download just about any tone. Of course (or alas), the lawyer crowd would have...
