My 2024 EC Premium had the 'trot' when I first got it. It did so when the door was first opened. Now, with several software updates, the only time I hear it, is when the key is in the ignition and I open the door.
As I've mentioned before, record the sound, put it into QuickTime or other...
The manual vs. auto debate will not end here or on any other vehicle forum! Rather it will end ingloriously when the market demand so dictates—Jim Farley's statement about his (sic) dead hands; pundits who speak volumes about never owning an auto; and a myriad of other salacious statements...
It shouldn't do that, unless Ford changed the software; a fact I have not heard about. I have a 2024 EB Premium, and mine doesn't do that. Occasionally, when the software is upgraded it changes color, but that fact has been well documented here.
Yes, it is about money! The most expensive way to buy a vehicle is by leasing it! Unless you use a vehicle in your daily business where is can be written off as an expense, the difference between a decent vehicle loan and leasing is about 25%. Dealer salespersons push leasing because they get a...
If you think a dial is crap, look at some of the Honda, Kia, and Nissan models. They actually use two controls. Geez!
Oh! While we're on this, how about a switch for the Emergency Brake (hand brake, parking brake, etc.). In the rare event that the regular brakes don't work, what the heck do you...
There are a few things more important than just the "price" of the vehicle. As a general rule, performance vehicles cost more to insure.
After I had purchased my 2024 Eco-Boost, I ask my agent (State Farm) how much more would I pay for a GT or Dark Horse? I don't remember the individual costs...
The vast majority on this Mustang site are GT owners. A few, like your truly, own and appreciate the Eco-Boost, especially in its current form. Hovering around a $40K starting price, it still has the Mustang feel and presentation. Admittedly, it isn't the visceral sound and roar of the GT, but...
Every time I see comments about a front license plate requirements, the same thought pops into my head. The usual reason given for retaining front license plates, is to allow police to read them while going in the opposite direction. Yet, why aren't front plates required to have lighting? After...
Your assessment is correct. I haven't special ordered a vehicle since my 1983 Mercury Cougar. Rather I've relied on the dealer to find what I want, or I've just walked in and there it was! I'm not saying you should or shouldn't, it just depends on what you want and are willing to wait for!
The photo brings up an oddity to me. Apparently there are a lot of double-car garages, but a large percentage of vehicles either line the street or are parked outside and covered up. Makes me wonder what is parked inside?
All of this really relies on what you plan on (or are) doing with the car. A soccer mom doesn't need extra oil cooling or a larger radiator/intercooler. Now if we're talking boy racer, all the goodies might give you an edge, but sooner or later John Law and/or an unintended drift is going to...
You can remove the rear emblem(s) using a bit of dental floss to cut through the 3M double-sided emblem tape (VHB®). What is left will clean up easily using Prepsol®.
To reinstall them, you can buy VHB® from Amazon in various widths. Trimming is best done with an X-Acto blade. Incidentally...
There are a couple of YouTube vids about TREMEC stopping production of their manual transmissions. I don't believe that is the case. What I'm more interested in, is their new six speed transaxle. All things about the Mustang considered (especially F/R bias), it is indeed possible the next...
