We all thought we had the cat's meow of hot cars back in the 60s and 70s. The truth is, a lowly late-model Eco-Boost would dust almost of all of them, including my 1970 Duster 340!!
I'm in the minority here. I've owned nine turbo vehicles, and seven were fours. Their exhaust note is indeed unique, perhaps a bit ruckus, but you get used to it.
As for the insurance, I do pay a higher premium just because it is a Mustang. If that doesn't ring a bell, we need to remember that...
Yes. It is a case of intermittent operation, where the camera either doesn't turn back off and/or fails to turn on. It is a software upgrade which I've read is available for dealers to install.
I understand the reasoning to add an oil catch can. But remember, the Eco-Boost does use both direct and port injection. That fact all but eliminates carbon build up on the intake valves. That said, if you're going to race it (bad idea really) then by all means.
Catch cans do collect garbage...
Not really. I drive a 2024 Eco-Boost Premium in Oxford white, and I've gotten several compliments. I will admit, however, I haven't had anyone roll down a window to shout a compliment, save for a thumb up a couple of times. Perhaps it is a bit of jealousy of not owning one themselves.
By the time you add in the taxes, shipping and delivery charges, and insurance, the first year ownership of two GTDs, comes very close to seven figures. Not too many can shell out that amount of resourcs. Not for me and a lot of other folks too. But at least I have its little sibling in my garage!
Excuse me, but this is not a tire issue! Just because the dealer says it is okay, you have no idea if the Ford approved Bear Alignment unit is calibrated correctly. At least that was my dealer's issue. Bear charges about $2,500 to do an alignment check, so it is no wonder dealer's don't like to...
I do not own a GT, but I've driven a few, one of which was a loner. Compared to my EB, the GT does feel a bit sluggish when first starting out. I attribute this to the lack of low-end torque, which is to be expected considering the peak torque output is on the high end of the RPM scale. But at...
There is a bit of similarity here with respect to a home computer. Yes, you can buy one with more horsepower (faster CPU), more interior room (more RAM), and more storage (larger hard drive), etc. They often come with certain software preloaded (sort of like HVAC), but for the most part, the...
To hell with the plate design... It's what's on it that counts!
Once upon a time, I had an XR4Ti Merkur. I always wanted the plate to read SEXR4ME but the DMV said otherwise. Now my EB says... 4STAIR.
Parking sensors? Without some information on what parking sensors, I don't know how to respond. I have an EB Premium, and it has what you could say are parking sensors, which I believe also come on the non premium.
