Mike Valentine passed away a few months ago, but his company still makes some of the best radar detectors. I've never owned one or really felt I needed too. Yet, I've never had a speeding ticket.
I can't speak for anyone here, but I'd leave it be for a while until you know how the Mustang feels to you. I find the stock versions to be fairly capable just like Ford builds them.
The standard is the USA is 120 VAC. Yes, a few places (shouldn't be any this late of a date) 115 VAC, and I can't imagine 110 VAC these days. My unloaded wall out lets are 126 VAC, and 123 VAC at their rated 15 amp draw. But we're not speaking about vehicles!
Nominal 12 VDC vehicle electrical...
I can't tell you how bad of an idea this is! The wire size is typically #14 AWG, and sometimes as small as #16AWG. Making matters worse, the wire is bundled with other under dash wiring, and over loading any vehicle wiring is asking for a catastrophic fire.
There are safe ways to provide 120...
I own a 2024 Eco-Boost Premium, and other than a K&N filter, everything is OEM! The OD reads a scant 2,400+ miles (10 months old), so my seat time is a bit limited. Nonetheless I find a lot of the criticisms toward the EB unfounded, and one of those is throttle response.
I've owned a number of...
As most folks here already know, when software gets updated, Ford in their infinite wisdom (?) resets the dash colors and gauge layouts among other stuff. Well, that happened to me about noonish today. When I checked the software version, it was 24C35. I believe that was the version my dealer...
Traction control was not the issue—leaving the stability control on was this issue!
I'm not the only one here who has mentioned this issue. If you drive aggressively (using drag mode, driving the twisties, or whatever) the stability software apparently doesn't work as it should. You know it's...
One hundred seventy? I wonder! For a couple of years, I drove a police-spec 1973 Plymouth Fury III equipped with a 440 four barrel. Flat out the top speed was just shy of 140, with 3:38 gears if my memory is correct. Anything over that would be a stretch in my opinion.
Nothing is going to be as accurate as the clocks at your respective drag strip, which is a given.
The dash clock is driven by the associated CPU oscillator, and even if locked to a crystal standard it's probably no better than ± a few tenths of a second. Adding insult, we don't know how the...
The problem, FrogDog, is there are too many folks willing to call you Froggy-The-Gremlin for mentioning heavier penalties for all sorts of crime. Nevertheless I agree with you. And I agree we need to stiffen up the penalties for turning our highways and byways into race venues while we're at it...
I have a plastic protection cover over my iPhone. If that it removed the charger runs much cooler, and if you remove the existing rubber over the charger, it works very well with almost no heat. Sure makes me wonder.
The cruise control is opt in only. thus it shouldn't come on every time you start up. If it does, take it to the dealer. As I recall, this was one item in the last software update.
It is the cruise control. The not symbol means you're not close to the preset speed. Once you get about 5 MPH from the preset, pushing the center button will reengage the cruise control.
The sad part bout this is, there are people who can give you the exact timing because they tested it using the on-board timer. And where do you think they did this?
Seemingly, no two states are the same. Here in New Mexico, there are about 10 different plate schemes and only one allows 8 digits and/or numbers. No spaces, no caps, or other punctuation is allowed. Obviously, it would have been nice to have 4st Air!
Speaking of putting one over on the DMV...
License plates, vanity or otherwise, often get blanked out when photos are posted herein. Perhaps it is a security issue with some owners? However, you’re more likely to have your license plate memorized or caught on a dash cam because you’re driving erratically than any other issue. The latter...
